ive never used an amd computer before, im assuming they function exactly the same as an intel one right?

yeah ik im just not sure what to get and if it is compatible with my case. my buddy asked on here as well about his mobo and his case and he even checked on pc parts picker if it was compatible and it said yes and we wound up having to take off the plastic shield thing on it near the ports on the back to get it to fit into the case. im worried ill have a similar if not the same issue

i5 3570k is my processor. i couldnt find my mobo or ram under device manager but im sure i missed something. i did click on everything to see if they was there, they werent. i know its an asrock mobo, thats all i know about that

yeah ddr4 if its older. i know the guy i bought it off said i cant put a new cpu or ram in it because the mobo is so old it wont accept newer stuff

id prefer intel. i have an i5. like i said the parts i have right now are old. i basically just want to buy newer versions of what i already have. just adding an extra 8 gbs of ram as well

really? up to 1k? would 600 get me something decent?

its a corsair brand psu. im in the usa and no particular budget. i just want the parts to be quality and nothing shady, you know. im not sure how to pull up a full spec sheet of whats in my pc right now, i think theres a way

i have an older pc i bought off someone a few years back. it holds up for what i play but its quite old, i know it has 8gbs of ram and an older gen i5. i basically need everything but a tower, a psu and a gpu. i believe the psu i have is a 900 watt and the gpu i have is a 1050ti. i have a new case to put the new parts in. im not very handy at this stuff and always come here when i had questions setting up my current pc and you guys have always been super helpful. i would just like a newer gen i5, 16 gigs of ram, a new mobo and 2 ssds, one for games and one for windows 10. theyre cheap now so i could wing 2 1tbs ssds, just not sure which one to get.i do have fans already bought and i have a case which i will provide a link. for reference, i mainly use it for web browsing but i occasionally play osu, warhammer 2, total war 3 kingdoms, and world of warcraft. my main concern is that this being an older pc im worried one of the parts will die and possibly brick the two components i plan on taking out of it that i bought when buying this pc off the guy. thanks for any and all replies! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XS364S8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i have a magnetic flashlight that sticks to the case of my computer tower but im not sure if magnets are bad for computers. can i leave it there or will it create issues?

i use a JBL blue tooth speaker that works fine, but my monitor isnt registering any sound at all and im not sure why. nothing plays out of the monitors stock speakers when i unplug the speaker from the monitor either. ive restarted my pc like 5 times. ive flicked the switch in the back of the psu and still nothin. ive turned it on and off, truly the peak of my technical know how. ive used this speaker on this pc for about 2 or 3 years now and ive never had this problem before. any ideas of whats happening here?

i have windows 10, so youre saying i can just plug my controller into my pc via usb and it should work given the game has controller support?

i have the usb wire for my controller, they just take simple android chargers which i have 1084232409 of. im not sure of the date, i didnt buy it prior to then but it could have been sitting a while. my pc also doesnt have a bluetooth feature sadly
