  1. Depends on your needs and your budget, really. Do you need/want it, aswell as being able to afford it? If both are true, I'd say why not, go for it.
  2. Is it an LGA or PGA socket? I'd personally use compressed air in any case.
  3. The 1080 should be enough for your needs. In terms of RAM, you're not going to notice a difference between those speeds on an 8600k.
  4. If it helps, the BIOS says something about the Link Status being disconnected for the adapter, not sure if that means it doesnt detect it or what?
  5. Ey I just built a pc for a friend consisting of: MSI B250m Mortar core i5 7400 Corsair CX550m Corsair LPX ddr4 8gb MSI Gtx 960 4GB KIngston UV400 Windows 10 64bit The components were bought since he wanted intel stuff, but wasnt interested in paying the close to $200 premium we have to pay up here for Coffee lake. The problem is that I can't install the Intel l219-V driver for the LAN, since it gives me te error message "No intel adapters are present on this computer." I'm sure they're the right drivers, and I've found a lot of people who've suffered from the same problem, but none of their solutions work for me. Help?
  6. Main difference between IPS and TN is that the IPS has more accurate colors and wider viewing angles, and is typically more expensive than the TN. The TN is usually faster and more responsive alongside being cheaper. TNs are therefore preferred among players of fast paced games like CSGO. I'd personally get an Asus MG248q if you want 1080p 144hz freesync.
  7. I personally use either hardwaremonitor or coretemp, either works fine but hwmonitor has more info on your general system
  8. I'm not too familiar with the cablemod stuff, but I find my set from Corsair to be a bit stiff. It's some variant of paracord as far as I'm aware.
  9. Depends on what you'll do with it, keyboard for anything other than Racing or story games, controller for those.
  10. I'd personally recommend the Logitech G933. Great audio in my experience, you have a lot of control in the software, and the mic is just fine.
  11. Are you in an older house with old cabling? Since you're using powerline, I've heard it's been bottlenecked by bad wiring.
  12. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cF9BCy Pretty much everything you asked for, HDD is easy to change so just get what you want. I went with the Define C TG because I honestly think it's the best case on the market: TG sidepanel, PSU shroud, ample cable management room, plenty of airflow, compact yet spacious interior and great storage options. This is a really capable machine, 8 core ryzen and a 1080 will get you a long way on that quality 27" 1440p Asus panel. *forgot to add the 960 evo, should still remain in your budget
  13. That's because you kept your HDD plugged in whilst installing windows onto your SSD, windows boot manager or whatever it's called will be installed on the HDD and thus you need both for booting. Only solution I've used is reinstall windows while keeping only the SSD installed.
  14. PUBG is the only title I know of that officially has support and optimizations for 6 core CPUs
