  1. I would if I did. It just kept shutting down and booting up on it's own, sometimes it would not power on at all, most if the time it would just give me an FF.
  2. I am a uni student in digital arts, my machine is my most important tool and it's motherboard fried to a short, code FF. So I got the above stated replacement board in the used market from a reputable seller who provided proof that it functions correctly. My cpu is a Xeon E5 2660 V3 (stated by gigabyte to work with this motherboard), and my memory a 2x8 set of corsair 2133mhz LPX kit powered by a bequiet pure power 11 600w (or 650w I don't remember I lost the sticker). I am dumbfounded as to what is happening with this machine. I have tried every troubleshooting set I can think of (short of checking voltages) and she still won't post. I tried cmos clearing, using the switches on board to change bios settings such as dual bios setting, cpu mode setting, OC settings, everything. Reseated ram, tried a spare Chinese ram kit, cpu reseat with variable mounting pressures on the cooler, I have another known working bequiet 500w system power 9 that I tested with to no change whatsoever, I checked the pins with a magnifying glass, the works. On the manual is specified memory slots (positions 2 and 4)are for a dual kit and 1 when I tried to run with just one and I still get error code 50 memory init error nonetheless. I tried other slot configurations and I get error 61 nvram init error. Finally for some reason the machine booted into my old windows installation, there I was having problems with random crashes once in a while but I figured it's driver problems and I just have to re-install windows. I took a day's break from trying to diagnose this to do work and when I came back the machine started doing the same thing again, no post, code 50. I don't know what to do anymore. I have already lost a school project deadline to this and I need this thing fixed so I can continue my studies and work to pay rent. If any one of the legends in here can help me out I would very much appreciate it.
  3. Very cute, good dad. Give her some white PSU cables like Kanna said. I'd also go for some rainbow RGBling in this particular instance since the case looks like a unicorn pissed on it. Some etching of her favourite anime on the tempered glass would go a long way as well.
  4. Thank you very much kind sir :3 I knew a lot of this information through research and generally using computers so you didn't have to spend so much time composing such a huge comment as I just needed to know about the particular expansion cards I mentioned but I cannot stress how much appreciate the gesture. From the moment I saw the computer I knew I struck a goldmine, literally . I've seen a lot of guys dissolving the CPUs down to pure gold and I felt kind of sad to be honest that such an interesting piece of technology is worth nothing more than it's gold value to some people. I was most intrigued about the VRM module. I was suspecting that it was to do with power delivery but had no idea VRM used to come in modules . Again thank you so much for your effort though.
  5. I find old PCs so fascinating. I got this beauty off a friend for 5 Euros, he got it as a hand-me-down from his uncle and didn't have any use for it. It was super dusty when I got it so I parted it out completely and cleaned it out. Some of the expansion cards didn't make a lot of sense to me though . . . I believe the one saying ''PHILIPS'' on it is a TV card but I'm not sure. The one with the big ''SIS'' chip looks like a video card but it seems to have an interchangeable chip on it that I would guess is the video memory, still not certain. What seems completely outlandish to me is that little PCB with the huge capacitors on it . . . it hooks up to those pins below the CPU socket but I have no idea what it is or what it does. If somebody has any idea what these things are I would highly appreciate if you could shine a light for me.
  6. tried another vga ot did notjing (here is what happened ) VID_20160901_184509.3gp
  7. i'll give it a shot i'm going back to my friend's house see how it goes
  8. pc uses internal gpu
  9. So i was going to replace the old drive from my friend's old ass pc with a shiny new adata ssd, so i install it in the case and then I notice that his power supply does not have a sata power connector. So I sprint to my house grab a spare 500 watt psu go back install it and boot the pc, the pc booted fine and it prompted me to insert boot media. I shut it down went and grabbed my copy of windows 10 32bit put it in and boot again, the splash screen for the motherboard worked fine but thene something in the lines of this happened ''photo here'' (I didn't have a camera at hand so i found the closest picture that I could on the internet so imagine this but with aliased diagonal blue stripes going across the screen). We tried any other configuration that we could with the two psus and drives but every single one failed. Anyone that has any idea of wtf happened I would appreciate if you told me thanks, I can feel my heart race since this isn't my own pc.
