The Galaxy S10 will be my next smartphone. It seems absolutely amazing in every way except one...

The only bad thing about it is the price, and since my work is paying for it that's not an issue for me.

 

I would have loved to see the S10 be priced at the S10e level though. The prices of smartphones has gotten out of hand.

Back when I bought my Galaxy S2, 8 years ago, I thought the ~440 dollar price tag was ludicrous, but I bought it anyway. The price of the S10 (non-e, and non-plus) in Sweden is over 1000 dollars. How the hell did we get to the point where phones costs 1000 dollars or more?

    Yeah, smartphone pricing is crazy. Whole Gaming PCs are starting to look cheaper than these.

    For the price of the S10+ I'd rather buy a gaming PC and a good mid-range phone.

    Galaxy S10+, 12gb, 1024gb will be 1679€ / US$1903 in Finland.

    And the normal S10 will be 949€ / US$1076.

    Well I don't think you can look at the 1TB model and go "wow that's crazy expensive" because it's suppose to be the absolute top of the line, more than anyone actually needs, model.

    I think it's like this:

    S10e - I want a really, really good phone. One of the best, but I still care about the price.

    S10 - I want the best of the best, and don't really care about the price.

    S10+ - I want the best of the best, and then a little bit more. It's expensive but I want it.

    S10+ 1TB model - I wipe my ass with money and want the most expensive on the market, even if it doesn't make any sense.

    @WikiForce I was referring to the flagship model pricing. I know there are cheaper phones. They seem to raise the bar up every year...

    For reference I paid the same price roughly for the Galaxy S8+ for the Galaxy S10, so I might be getting that phone as my upgrade so long as the size is roughly the same (ironically the biggest deciding difference between the S8 and S8+ for me other than battery)
