Every time Microsoft does this s**t I just hate Edge even more. I was already pretty neutral about it at some point and I even thought it was somewhat decent. Now after 3rd time they did this extra crap I hate it with burning passion and Edge has become just a download tool to get Firefox. Remember IE? This is Edge now. Then I don't touch it ever again. Go eat s**t Microsoft. It's crap like this that makes people really hate your stuff. It just makes them look impatient and desperate. Instead of making it cool and all that they always decide to force it on users with some scummy methods.

you'd think Apple shifting its production to India for their iPhones will make them cheap as that was their pitch to the Indian Govt when they did get permissions to set shop, well you're wrong, in an other out of touch prices with its customers apples does it again.

iPhone 12 Pro Price in India for 128 GB: Rs 1,19,000 ($1,620)
iPhone 12 Pro Price in Dubai for 128GB: Rs 84,000 ($1,114)

The whole point was to eliminate customs price that you need to pay for importing them from elsewhere, i have yet again have no clue what Apple is smoking over there.

this isn't even remotely true here

Apple is just trying to use cheap labor to gain more profits if anything else, iPhones in India are as expensive as it was the day they started to sell here, Apple double speaking on how it will be cheaper if it's produced in Indian and asking the govt giving concessions is just word play

Pixel 6 series is, however, coming to markets including Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US.

A Google spokesperson told Gadgets 360 that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were not coming to India because of many factors.
This is notably not the first time when Google has decided to not bring its new Pixel phones to India. In fact, the company has not launched any of its recent flagships in the country. These include the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a 5G, and the Pixel 5.

And nothing of value was lost, pixel phones are horribly priced in India, non existent customer support, less than desirable stock android, which won't even let you switch multitask and back buttons, seriously, can we talk about how stupid it is that back button the one button you use the most is on the left side of the phone on stock android, if you are right handed which most people are physically have to move your thumb all the way over to the left side while awkwardly holding the phone every single time, options to switch existed but Google even removed this functionality from AOSP entirely starting from Android 10 might i add.

Rohith_Kumar_Sp reacted to dalekphalm in Bought a 5 Bay HDD enclosure, what are my options for software raid? Storage Space?
Keep in mind that StorageSpaces isn't truly RAID, because it's a software level extrapolation of the data on the drives.

2-way mirror is kind of like RAID10. StorageSpaces will copy every file to two drives, giving you a 50% storage efficiency (meaning you'll effectively lose half the total drive space).

You can read more about the variations here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-spaces/storage-spaces-fault-tolerance

You're going to want to use "Single Parity", which is basically (but not technically) RAID5.

Rohith_Kumar_Sp reacted to dalekphalm in Bought a 5 Bay HDD enclosure, what are my options for software raid? Storage Space?
RAID6 is not 2-way mirror in anything.

I'll do a very basic RAID breakdown (assumes all drives are same capacity size):

RAID0: Striped drives - all drives are combined to form one giant drive. You gain the capacity of all drives combined. A single drive failure loses all data.

RAID1: Mirror - two drives (or more, but many systems will only let you add two) are mirrored together and any data stored on one drive is copied to the other. They both contain exact copies of the same data. Drive capacity is the same as a single drive. You can withstand a single drive failure (more if you add additional drives to the mirror).

RAID5: Single Parity - an array of 3 or more (typically 4 or more) drives. One drives worth of capacity is lost to store Parity (though the parity is actually stored across all drives typically). Total capacity is all drives minus one. You can sustain one drive failure.

RAID6: Double Parity - an array of 4 or more drives (typically 5 or more). Works exactly the same as RAID5 but there's double parity. Two drives worth of capacity is lost to store Parity. Total capacity is all drives minus two. You can sustain two drive failures.

RAID10: This combines RAID1 and 0 - two groups of drives are striped together to create two larger striped arrays, then they are mirrored to each other (all data from one striped array is copied to the other). Drive capacity is half your drives. You can sustain failure on up to half your drives, but you cannot sustain failure if two mirrors of each other are both lost. Requires an even number of drives.

RAID 50/60: Similar to RAID10, this allows you to combine multiple RAID5 or RAID6 arrays together to form larger arrays - niche - typically only used for enterprise environments or situations where expansion is a must but data constraints don't allow a proper new array.
