Correct, there doesn't currently exist an 11th gen Intel desktop CPU series. It is a bit ambiguous what the next desktop generation will be.
 
Rocket Lake has been discussed in rumours but I'm not aware of anything official from Intel. If it happens, it'll be end of this year, or early next year, and is rumoured to feature a variation of new cores found in Tiger Lake but built on 14nm. New architecture, old process. This is expected to be compatible with the 10th gen Comet Lake mobos although if past behaviour is anything to go by, there'll still be a new chipset generation.
 
If Rocket Lake doesn't happen, Alder Lake is next on the lineup. This is on 10nm and has been stated by Intel as due second half of 2021 for both desktop and mobile.

Good, i hope the prices of 3080 go down even more because of this.

There have been reports of people having problems, in particular on factory overclocked models, suggesting it's a board partner problem.
 
Some have had success by simply installing the studio drivers, instead of the game ready drivers. Others have found installing the broadcaster software seems to fix it. The most reliable fix seems to be dialing back the core frequency by ~100MHz - not ideal, but at least it'll be useable while waiting for a proper fix.
 
That being said, most only had problems in select titles, not in literally everything they tried. Your friend could have a PSU issue or a corrupt driver, or potentially just be unlucky with a dud card.
 
Until we know more about the issue, I wouldn't go making sweeping statements that the cards as a whole are 'barely funcitonal'.

I have 1 question, what is Apple smoking? 

A 64 GB upgrade costs 1359.22$ you could buy a 3090 for that cost, just shows how out of touch apple is with its customers in India.

Import duties on electronics here (in India) start at 27% to 30%, so its not only Apple but any electronic gadget that's overpriced, but Chinese companies have been able to sell stuff for cheap because they have a local manufacturing base. Apple has some plants here too, but i guess margins are more important to them.

Because if your answer to this is "no" then you're looking for offense where there is none to be had and you've just completely ignored the intention of what such an expression was mean to convey. intention is everything.

except they are not joking at anyone's expense, it's a very VERY common facial expression (especially in animation) used to convey total confusion.
