  1. Hey all! I failed to buy a reliable laptop the past 2 times, where 1 just wasn't a good build (MSI GT70) and my current laptop (ASUS U501UX) has such a horrible display, it's useless for any color work. So I'm hoping you guys can help I'll be mainly using the Office Suite, various Adobe programs (mainly Photoshop) and CAD software (Solidworks). So I'm looking for a laptop with pretty good specs (i5/i7 and maybe a dedicated GPU, not sure how much difference that makes), but especially: - A good display (Full HD is fine, color accuracy is more important) - Solid build (it will be carried around daily, and sometimes used in the train) I would also like an SSD and a HDD, but I understand that maybe only an SSD is possible. It should be fine as I have a portable harddrive anyway. Budget: Preferrably under 1000 euros I am also looking into buying used, so recommending older models is fine too! So far I fell in love with the XPS 15, but it's kind of out of my preffered price range. All suggestions are very much appreciated!!! -Kaasgeelheid
  2. Sounds like regular twitch to me. Just like Youtube Twitch sometimes has issues notifying followers correctly. Not notifying at all, or notifying when the broadcaster is already offline again, etc etc. I'd suggest checking Twitter or even Youtube in its current state for WAN show updates
  3. Just another option to consider, although I think in your usecase it might be less useful: A 27" 1440p display with a pivoted 1080p display next to it. You could even afford 2 1080p displays on either side with the 1k. Out of the given options I'd go with the 34" no question, simply because of the sheer amount of pixels. But if you dont feel like spending the 1k, the 2 24" would do as well. I feel the 29" is just for widescreen gaming at a cheaper price.
  4. Hmm, I don't really know what that means, but after some googling, this seems where I should be: The one where it says "Kritiek" caught my eye: Critical, at about the time when it happened, source: kernel power. That seems suspicious. Although again, I'm in this screen for the first time so I don't really know what it means.
  5. What would that mean exactly? I don't really have any knowledge about this technical stuff But it sounds like the PSU to me. Thanks, that helps alot nailing it down. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to obtain a separate PSU in a family where you're the only one into building PCs, as you can imagine. I'll try to get one though, seems like a good way to start.
  6. Hey everyone, Only recently my PC started doing some things I don't really like.... During some games it just restarts out of the blue. With a pop from my audio interface turning off the screen goes black and 3 seconds later it just reboots like I just pressed the power button. Pretty straight forward. So I was thinking this must be either my PSU or any of the components overheating. Turns out my CPU wasn't overheating for sure, since I was streaming with the temps on-screen (to check) and when it happened all 4 cores where <55*C I got a new MSI GTX 970 like 3 weeks ago. This problem didn't start happening when I immediatly got it but 2 weeks or so after. It already has quite loud coil whine :^) Another weird thing is that I played BF4 today all day and nothing happened, now that I maxed out my CPU with streaming it did happen. I forgot to add: No overclocks on both the GPU and CPU (after this problem started occuring I turned them off immediatly) Does anyone know what could cause this problem and what would be the best way to start troubleshooting? Any help at all would be very much appreciated Specs:
  7. For some reason I'm starting to think that fix only works for Windows 7, since everyone who said that has worked so far is using W7... Windows 8.1 here, and the severe mouse acc remains even if I set all those options to 0, Nearly unplayable, completely unenjoyable for me.
  8. also, slightly off topic, but not important enough to make a new topic about it: Uplay is down, at least in the Netherlands. You can't log in anymore, and my FC4 download stopped at literally 69%. All this has to be a joke right, it HAS to be....
  9. We will stop preordering video games. We will stop preordering video games. We will stop preordering video games. We will stop preordering video games. https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/532174252867584001 I hope you learned your lession Ontopic: I bought FC3 Blood Dragon, which was actually a good game, same as FC3. Good 'ol days :')
  10. It might be safe for the buyer, but it's known to not always be completely legit. One of the examples is them selling keys from Devolver Digital games which were not legit in some way or another. Theres a tweet somewhere from DD, I can't link since I'm on mobile, sorry. So the key you buy probably does work, but with issues like this in the past I'd recommend looking for a different site.
  11. these cards look like a great friggin deal! but everyone knows I'm simply posting here because of the giveaway
  12. If it still has warranty, just return it. I've returned IEMs that had a similar problem (one of them was too quiet) and got a full refund.
  13. Don't get the DT770 if you want a portable pair. While I love my pair, they are quite big and really not suited for portable use. At a desk they're a great choice. My vote would go to the Urbanite XL or the M100
  14. Also have a look at the Philips Citiscape Uptown. While they don't fold, they sound good for the price and isolate really well. I like my pair. M40x is also a good option, and have a look at some IEMs, good guide for that is jokers IEM post on head-fi.
  15. "Two balanced monitor outputs - 1/4" TRS jack" - 2i2 specifications 2014 I guess that is the answer.
