  1. The thing with that is my brother uses the computer sometimes. And a flaw in that system is what if she remains logged into the user when he uses the computer? Perhaps a program that password protects a website?
  2. So my mom has been telling me that someone is trying to "hack" into her accounts (bank and email). This is obviously a big problem. We both suspect that it's my older brother or his friends that are trying to do this when we aren't home. The only way someone could find out her username is through the computer that she uses so it has to be on the computer. One of the few solutions I could think of is setting a personal password for my mom to use as a user (currently no password), erase everything and buy her a personal laptop with a locked password, set firefox to never save logins (done that), and find a program that screen records whenever someone is on a certain website. I would like to know if such a program exists, it would be very beneficial. I think it does because one of my mom's friends was talking about how she can screen record their home computer whenever someone is watching porn. So yeah, does a program exist where if someone was to use a certain website it would screen record? Also is there a program that would send a text or notification out whenever someone is using a certain website to my phone/number? Thanks.
  3. That temporarily fixed the problem. It dropped to 42c which I still think is pretty high for stock. And also it steadily rose back to 82c. (I stopped it before it reacher 88-89c)
  4. So I recently upgraded my pc and I'm putting everything together today. Everything is going well except the temperature of my 6700k on stock speeds is 89c. I use a H75 corsair liquid cooler and an Asus z170-a motherboard. Everything right now is currently on a "testbench" (motherboard box).
  5. I went and downloaded HWMonitor like you said and it's saying 206c for temps on my cpu and 48c on my gpu. I'm pretty sure the cpu temp is off, and this is on idle.
  6. So I've had an r9 390 xfx for about a month now and nearly every game I play my computer shuts down if I don't max out fan speeds. I can tell it's from overheating because my case can basically make eggs at the point. I don't know whether or not its my cpu (8320 stock fan) or (gpu 390.) Before I would play on an r7 250 with my 8320 and not experince any overheating issues and I'm curious as to whether its just my 390 or is my 390 making my 8320 overheat. My specs: FX 8320 @3.5GHz stock fans R9 390 8GB XFX Dual Dissipation 16GB DDR3 G.Skills RAM 650W Thermaltake psu
  7. I was watching a few YouTube videos when I came across one called, " Did iOS 9 Slow Down iPhone 4S or 5? How To Speed Up iOS 9." And the conclusion is that iOS 9 beta (final beta release before the real release) slows down the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5. There is visible lag on the 4s and 5, it makes you wonder weather or not Apple is trying to kill off older devices so more people will upgrade. Geekbench scores in Parenthesis (Single core/dual core) iPhone 4s iOS 8.4.1 (217/412), iPhone 4s iOS 9 final beta (216/409), iPhone 5 iOS 8.4.1 (705/1279), iPhone 5 iOS 9 final beta (705/1280). There is an actual decrease in performance for the 4s and 1 point improvement for the 5. It's not totally clear whether Apple is really trying to force users to update or it's just a bad software and will be adressed when the actual iOS 9 is released or when iOS 9.1 is released. I advise you to wait and watch a few videos to see if performance changes when iOS 9 and iOS 9.1 drops.
  8. But previously I was getting 3.18 download speeds but got 3.5 for actual downloads.
  9. I recently moved my pc into a different room that is farther away from my modem. I noticed right away that the speed was significantly slower than its' previous location so I decided to buy a range extender, the N300 WiFi Range Extender from netgear. I installed it like it said to in the instruction manual and it connects to the internet like a charm, and even shows higher download speeds in speed tests but doesn't show the actual peformance it has. From my old location it would get around 3.6mbps download and now I'm getting 1.5mbps download with this. Please help It says Ping: 41ms, Download Speed: 3.18mbps, and upload speed: 2.53ms without the extender and Ping: 47ms, Download speed: 13.14mbps, and upload speed: 4.71mbps with the extender
  10. So after a terrible experince of having Windows 10 kill HDD for booting I had to wipe out and install Windows 8.1 again through a disc. I tried to change PC settings but it wouldn't work, I tried opening a few more Windows apps and none of them work, they all come up as blank with no icon in the app viewer. I have no documents on the User account I'm on now, but when I checked another User under the same name with an additional tag of the PC name it has the documents I managed to save, along with other important files. Also I am unable to open the file on my computer and it shows up with the error code "Class not registerd"
  11. my computer randomly shut off and when I tried to restart it it kept pulling up INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DRIVE. Please help me with finding a way to fix this.
  12. Thanks for the help, the computer listed the wifi adapter as under a different name.
