Polyp got a reaction from Z3R0 CHANC3 in self bent glass tubing
Hey every one, I tried myself in bending borosilicate glass tubes for my loop. As you see some kinking is kind of unavoidable. I tried my best with blowing into the glass tube to avoid any further kinking. This can cause holes in the tube if done wrong. (see pictures below)

This should not yet be a tutorial or anything how I exactly did it. I just did not have time jet to do a document or edit a video for that. Maybe I have time in about two weeks. Just some impressions I want to share and see what you think and if there any interest. Please, be nice was hard work and not easy. I did every run in PETG first and every run I tried several times with the glass tubing.

Ah yes the reason why I did it: I liked to have as little of any kind of plastic in my loop. Also there should be no staining of the tubes now.

Let’s assume, so you have ;)...

I never had both of them only had once this really bad nanofluid where the nano particles got stuck in the blocks.

    Check out JayzTwoCents:

At one point he cleans his blocks with toothpaste and toothbrush (around 7min).
Maybe that helps against some corrosion but if it is really bad and not on the surface anymore I am not sure what to do.

OK, probably last update since I found some archived pictures and made new ones in it's default setup.

Here is what you have to do to your motherboard in order to keep the IO shield AND install the Monoblock.:

Also found a picture of a pre-bent 90degree glass tube (amazing stuff, allows for much cleaner routing for people without means to bend glass and those who don't want to rely on 90degree angled connectors).

I wanted a better cable management but it's almost impossible right now - the cables from Singularity Computers are very high quality and rigid, it's hard to move them around and the case lacks the basement to hide them. Maybe if I ordered some custom made glass shield as a basement...It's a thought for the future.

This is why it is essential that owners of Tou 2.0 get custom made cables. Otherwise it will look terrible. And let's not forget the proprieritary 24pin connector extension that is needed in order to hook up the front touch panel:

Fortunately Singularity Computers knew what to do with it and they wired it directly to the 24pin custom cable.

And finally few pictures of the build when it illuminates a complete dark room:

Unfortunately even with Asus Aura it's hard to get a clear white color of the lights and it always ends up a bit blue or greenish. I did not plug the SLI bridge cable to the RGB header so I had to manually choose a color (the bridge works like a touch panel).

This is how it looks like when it's basically the only light source in the room (aside from monitor).

And finally I like this one since it shows those nice glass tubes - like I said, I drew the blueprint from a video in the original post since it was by far the cleanest and nicest way of designing the loop. The parallel glass tubes are very nice and boy am I glad that Alphacool offers pre-bent 90degree glass tubing ;-)

    EDIT:

Front touch panel - much like Jayz2Cents I had to remove the power wire from touch panel - not because it was too easy to bump it but because cleaning it with microfiber cloth needed turning off PSU

As such in now serves the function of controlling the lights inside the case. Here is the dimmed version when only inner component light it up:

    Specs:
    I run it daily at:
    CPU: 4.2 GHz (1.20v) uncore 3.4 GHz (1.15v)
GPUs: +50MHz clock on top of Asus' OC and +350MHz Memory
RAM: Standard XMP for Dominator Platinum SE: 3200Mhz CL 14 16 16 36 with 1.35v

    Temps:
CPU full load during AIDA: 68C package, 61C hottest core
    GPU's under 100% load: max temp 50-51C, holding both a stable 2025MHz

I was able to OC the CPU further to 4.4 GHz at 1.29v and uncore to 3.6 at 1.20v but after passing Cinebench 6-7 times it crashed. I could hold this overclock when I increased the voltage to 1.35 but decided against it, didn't like the temperatures (about 80C on package)

Not the most efficient system temperature-wise but I already knew this when I chose this case. It was a conscious decision which I do not regret ;-)

Going with a slightly wider radius on your 90deg bends may help reduce kinks .

glass blowing is an art, if you can make perfect glass bends for a pc you should consider a job as a master artisan.

    A valiant effort.

For your use however, for your 90 degree bends, u can buy them prebent.
As such i would sugest you buy the 90degree bends, and DIY the smaller bends if needed, you shouldnt run into kinking issues that way.

Nice job though, not many people would try this.

    Hey every one

I finally found time and water cooled my PC

    CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K
    Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
    GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980 G1
    RAM: HyperX Fury (2x, 8GB, DDR4-2666, DIMM 288)
    PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2
    Case: bequiet Silent Base 800
    SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

Everything from the loop is from EKWB exept a temperature sensor form PHOBYA. I have a EK-CoolStream PE 240 in the top and a EK-CoolStream PE 120 in the back of the case. The res. is a EK-DBAY D5 PWM.

A Picture of the whole thing: (Please do not juge my bends to hard because they are not perfect in any sense and i know that. It is my first try and for now it is oke. In the future when i have time i will do them again.)

My first try on water cooling: Not perfect but I will run the tubes again when I have time to do so.
