  1. Man that thing's pretty B.A. I like it, it looks like a case you can buy. I don't mean to insult you, that's actually a compliment. It almost looks like it's stock because it's so well done. Noice.
  2. Hmm. I'm not sure if I like this or not. Time will tell I guess. Edit. Sorry if that sounds shit I'm just not sure how the colour scheme and so on fits with Vault Tec, who are always blue and yellow.

  5. All black though. Not red, gold and black. I don't know why you asked for opinions if you're just going to argue the toss. It's called constructive criticism. It doesn't look right as it is. In my opinion of course. It needs to be all red and gold.

Heat gun + acrylic = fun times. Good show !
  7. I just think a themed mod should follow the theme. Not start adding things. This is a very, very tough scheme to get right so I would look over at Dan's Iron Man PC to see how it's done. Sorry, don't want to be an asshole but you did ask.
  8. Eh? Iron man is all red and gold. How would doing it properly (like Danwoods) detract? Maybe Iron Man was a bad theme for you dude.
  9. The black bits don't belong and should be gold. I would have done the case gold and the black bits red.

No you duct tape all of the seams and then fill the whole rig with water, silly :p

cut an intake or two into the front, get a psu with a rear loaded fan...
  14. The warranty is next business day on site. I had a Alienware laptop and the service was excellent If something goes they just replace it.
  15. OK so the rig came yesterday. Been pretty busy since. Huge box OK so get it out and take off the side panel. Remove the 960 (and sold already) And sorted. And add a few hard drives. And done. There is some coil whine from the PSU so I will probably call out a tech and get that replaced if it bothers me. It seems to be getting less, so it may resolve itself
  16. The panel has cleared customs and should be here today ! I will try and get some nice pics but that depends on the sun
  17. I would water cool the Northbridge with another AIO
  18. I was replying to those who were talking about SLI but I can't quote on this forum on my phone as it doesn't work dude.
  19. You won't get SLI to work because it is not supported. I had a Dell dual socket 1366 board and I only got SLI working by using HyperSLI which IIRC is no longer updated and thus, doesn't work.
  20. Update. It's due to be delivered on Friday. I spent a good chunk of Monday benchmarking my 3970x rig so that I can compare them properly.
  21. Can't beat a good PCIE SSD IMO.
  22. It's not often I surprise myself any more. I mean, I wouldn't, I'm 42 years old. But today I surprised myself. Usually when doing mods I buy in all of the stuff I need to do the mod with. This time I just went through a big pile of old crap ready for the landfill. That's not usual for me, usually I want things to be the best they can be but this time I was only doing this panel for something to do and to get the thing covered up to keep the dust out until the new one came. So yeah, painted the panel. Montana black FTW. Flipped it over and put on the double sided foam tape. Peel, fit glass. And I gotta admit I was stunned. I only spent £8 on a can of paint and about £3 on a roll of tape. Everything else I Wombled from rubbish. Some glamour pics. Window fitted. I tell you what it's actually going to be hard to remove that panel to put a plain one on instead....
  23. Quick lesson in Photoshop. Always stroke anything you put outer glow on. So do your font layer. Rasterize it. Lay a stroke. Go to the layer below and SHIFT CTRL N for a new layer. Then go back to the layer CTRL E to merge it into the empty layer, fixing the stroke in place, stroke it again, repeat.. Always add a couple of strokes before you glow it looks much more professional
