  1. That is the one that that I linked in my post and it's the only one that I could find. Maybe the one that I thought i watched doesn't exist and i'm just remembering it differently.
  2. Hi, Im looking for a video that Linus did or didn't do because after a few days of searching I can't find it it is similar to this one here he did but rather than extreme editions he did it with every generation of i7 up until the most recent when the video was made. Am I going crazy or does it exist and my google fu has let me down. Thanks.
  3. At work I sometimes drive a Isuzu Truck which in itself isn't that expensive being only around $80000 but its whats on the back that makes it expensive. On the back is a $750000 22 meter high voltage insulated elevated work platform, in other words a very expensive cherry picker. So something like this but with another axle on the back.
  4. I would use it to upgrade from my 2600k that refuses to overclock past 3.7
  5. Thanks for help, I wasn't so sure because the previous video card I had was a GTX 560 and that couldn't support more than 2 monitors at a time. When you mean a 1Hz offset is that because one was running at 59 and the others 60? and that was causing your card to run hot because of having everything running out of sync?
  6. I have a 3 monitor setup but all three are different sizes I have one 23" 1080p one Dell 27" 1440p and one ancient beast that I found in the back of a cupboard thats at least 10 years old now running 1280x1024. I am hoping to replace the two smaller monitors with a cheap korean 1440p monitor from ebay and using vesa mounting arms to support them. Now I was wondering if a GTX780 can output to 3x1440p monitors and run them at full resolution and not be limited by software or anything. I wont be gaming with all three as I am not a fan of surround and hate the bezels interrupting the gaming experience.
  7. Thanks for your help. ShadowCaptain i like your suggestion and i think that i'll probably go with it. Where would you suggest that i go for how to set up FreeNAS, I know TekSyndicate has a video on it and thats what made me want to get a nas in the first place, but for things like setting up nightly backups where should i go for instruction on how to get that set up? And also ECC memory or not?
  8. I will be getting my tax back soon and was thinking of building a nas that i can use to store all my movies, tv shows and use as a second backup location for my computer (win8) as well as a time machine for the macs in the house. I was planing on using freenas and i want roughly 4 to 6 Tb of storage that i can also use a Plex media server so i don't have to have my machine running 24/7. For the drives im going to go with WD reds but im not sure weather to go 2x4Tb in raid 1 or 3/4 in raid5/6 The parts that i have chosen are CPU:INTEL Pentium-G3258 RAM:KINGSTON KTH-PL313E/8G PSU:SEASONIC G 450W MOBO:not sure but guessing supermicro (what would be recommended?) CASE:antec 300 (already own) COOLER:H60 (already own) I am budgeting around $800-900aud for the components and then whatever the HDDs cost on top
  9. http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=au&cs=audhs1&l=en&redirect=1&s=dhs&sku=210-40773 Dell has the U2713HM on sale again $587. I would pick up another two to accompany the one I already have but I have no money so maybe next time.
  10. Its no problem, I know the pain of moving and putting stuff away then going to look for it.
  11. Excellent I am taking notes on this hoping that I can get my hands on a 6850 to add to my 780 for folding.
  12. Thanks ill have a look when i get back from work this arvo. Thanks its no hurry.
