  1. Im trying to pick out which graphics card to put in my system but i cant pick one. Im looking to get the best performance possible in most games, and I would like it to stay in the 175 to 250 usd range. Also I will be buying it from microcenter since I live near one. I have an i3 4170, 8 gigs of ram, a gigabyte h81m-h and a corsair cx430m.
  2. I am looking to build a budget gaming pc and I am wondering if I should use the g3258 or the i3 4160. I generally play games like tf2, far cry 1 and 2, and soon skyrim. I am planning on using the r9 270.
  3. I am thinking about using the g3258 in my next build and I am not sure what psu i should use. here is my build so far: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($64.89 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($26.98 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-GAMING 3 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($54.45 @ OutletPC) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($46.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 270 2GB DirectCU II Video Card ($143.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($19.99 @ Newegg) Case Fan: Corsair SP120 57.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($12.75 @ Newegg) Case Fan: Corsair SP120 57.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($12.75 @ Newegg) Other: pata to sata adapter ($7.00) Other: molex to sata power ($2.00) Total: $431.78 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-07-11 13:43 EDT-0400
  4. when have they sold out before?
  5. I dont really see why, im not playing games that would benefit that much from the hyperthreading right now. i plan on upgrading to an i5 when i have more cash.
  6. so i have a final build plan with the g3258, r9 270, and other stuff. I already own 2 hard drives (what i need the converters for) and the headphones are just my personal preference and i need a new pair. I was going to use the i3 4160 but i decided that the pentium is all i need now, and i can upgrade to it or an i5 later. I dont play many demanding games right now, im playing tf2, and some far cry (im only on the first game, so i have time to upgrade for the later games) and some skyrim soon. 7. I have been looking around for the best gpu to buy used, and I don't know which card would be best. I have been looking at the r9 270 and hd 7870. I'm trying to keep the card within the 100 dollar range but i am willing to go above if its worth it. 9. thanks so much for the help, this is the build i am going to go with. and i do have some hdds available to me edit: i think im gonna wait for the new amd cards to drop so the price will drop and more people will be selling used cards
  10. I am trying to put together a low budget pc build for light gaming, that i can upgrade later. If you have any suggestions please tell me. 11. I am trying to put together a budget build and I am looking for the best case with an included power supply.
  12. for my schoolwork, i use google docs, so i dont need to save anything to my hdd, and my game library is already over 128 gigs, but I do have 2 160 gig hdd that i am going to use for the time being, so i can wait on installing a 1 tb drive, and a boot ssd
  13. the performance isn't going to change at all, but the price will drop giving it better price to performance
  14. amd single core performance in games isn't even close to intel. an intel 2 core with hyper threading is better than that hex core amd cpu. its still a good choice tho, but i would rather use the lga 1150 socket cpus because i can upgrade it to an i5 or i7.
  15. so I'm building a PC, and I really want to bring the price down by using cheaper parts that won't have a major impact on performance. the computer is only gonna be used for browsing the internet, school work, and gaming. I don't play too many demanding games, just games like csgo, tf2, saints row, etc. PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RCgLxr Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RCgLxr/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor ($121.98 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-GAMING 3 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($47.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair XMS3 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($39.78 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.45 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB Dual-X Video Card ($136.98 @ Newegg) Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($41.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply ($24.99 @ Newegg) Total: $447.15 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-05-09 22:06 EDT-0400
