  2. It might be the audio out which catches interference from components in your PC, try turning off all speakers, unplugging all headsets.
  3. Ok, Ive got an idea, how about a USB controllable relais board? I found one with 4 relais, that way I could get a internal usb header to usb port cable, plug it in the relais card, mount that somewhere in the case and boom, USB controlled HDDs!
