  1. Son of a... OK, problem solved. All I had to do was go and increase the voltage. This makes no sense to me based on what I've heard about overclocking.
  2. Disabling the D.O.C.P. did nothing. Also, this is turning out to be probably the most disappointing thread I've ever started on this forum.
  3. Not to mention, I can TELL the clock speed has been decreased because Windows feels slower when I do this.
  4. Did you look at the included screenshot? Even AIDA64's CPUID is saying that it's maxing out to 2195MHz.
  5. I have an R5 1600X on an ASUS ROG B350-F motherboard with Corsair Vengeance RAM with the D.O.C.P. 3000 profile enabled. Whenever I try to bump the CPU clock up to anything other than stock then boot into Windows, everything instantly feels a little slower, and going into Task Manager shows that, while the base speed has supposedly been set to 3.70GHz, it keeps capping the speed at 2.18. And as you can see in the screenshot, it appears something is preventing my CPU from going to 100% load. I'm not touching the voltage or anything else except the CPU clock, as I just want to test to see how much I can get away with before increasing the power, and while I'm no overclocking expert, I do know that if it was a power issue, then my system would just flat-out crash instead of reducing max CPU load. And before someone suggests it: yes, I made sure Windows was set to High Performance.
  6. OK, figured it out. I tried verifying the integrity of one of the games in my library again, refreshed the Desktop, and now the icon is showing up. So, I downloaded a script to automatically go through and do this to each game.
  7. But, while the simple answer would be to redownload all of my games, I have a 1TB data cap(thanks, Comcast) so that would be a bad idea.
  8. I've already tried both of those options. When I go to look at the icons saved in the Windows backup, they're all blank too. What's giving me a little hope is that I just installed a few tiny games like you did, but the icons are actually showing up for them.
  9. The icons still link to their respective Steam games, but their pictures are no longer showing. Again, the ones for Blizzard, Origin, and Uplay are showing 100% fine.
  10. I just upgraded to a new CPU and motherboard(also to AMD from Intel), so I obviously had to reset Windows. Luckily, I have Windows installed on an SSD while things like my game libraries are on my HDD, so I just had to point my different game stores at their respective directories after reinstalling them. Unfortunately, after I reset Windows(but keeping all my personal files, obviously), all of my Steam shortcuts have turned blank. The shortcuts for Uplay, Origin, and Blizzard games are all fine, but Steam's are all white pages. I tried verifying the integrity of some of the games, but that doesn't work. And I have so many games installed, that going through and tricking Steam into "redownloading" them(moving the game folders to a different directory, starting a download, exiting Steam, pasting them back, and then restarting Steam) will no doubt take me HOURS. I kept an image backup of my previous Windows install, so if there's any file that I could go and retrieve that'll fix the problem, I can.
  11. OK good news: I reinstalled Windows, installed Photoshop, and everything is running as buttery smooth as ever.
  12. I was literally thinking to do that exact thing. After playing around in Windows for a bit, it seems that Photoshop isn't the only thing that's lagging. I have a GTX 1070 STRIX, and I was getting well over 60FPS in GTA V before, but now I'm getting just above 50. So, I guess I'm gonna make an image of my SSD and back it up to my HDD, refresh Windows, and see if that helps at all...
  13. I just upgraded to an R5 1600X on an ASUS B350-F from my old Xeon 1231v3 on an ASUS Z97-A. Everything seems to be fine for the most part, but when I went into Photoshop to start working on a sketch(I'm a digital artist with a Cintiq 13HD), my brushstrokes have started lagging and slowing down. I tried Googling the issue, but I can't seem to really find anything apart from someone on the Adobe forum saying to delete 2 folders from the Adobe AppData directory. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? It makes no sense that one of my programs is running slower on a 6-core released last year compared to a 4-core from 2014. Update: So, it just appears that Photoshop is lagging in general for some reason. When I go to open the Preferences menu, it takes almost 5 seconds to pop up. I'm in Lightroom now, trying to see if it shows similar issues, but as of right now, it doesn't appear to be(at least, not any more than it used to).
  14. Just bought a ZBoard Classic for $300, and I'm just wondering if there's a way to replace its lead acid battery with the Pro's/SF Special's lithium iron phosphate battery to get longer range. I know I can obviously replace the current lead acid with another one, but could I just buy the Pro's battery and install it instead?
  15. I did, but I'm pretty sure this started before then. Also, how would an update to Windows affect a setting in my BIOS?
  16. For the last year or so, I've had my motherboard setup to power on at 9 AM every day, but recently, for unknown reasons, my computer's stopped powering on automatically. I'm not getting any errors related to a dead CMOS battery, so I don't have any idea why the timer's no longer working. Any theories?
  17. I just bought a New 3DS XL(used, lol) yesterday, and I'm looking into the whole modded firmware thing with it. It seems simple enough to do, but is there anything I should know beforehand? For instance, what exactly would cause Nintendo to block my system from accessing the Nintendo Network? How likely is it that I could permanently brick my system? Is there a way to revert back to the stock firmware should I find myself needing to do so? And, I guess most importantly of all, what can I actually DO with a modded system besides playing unsigned games?
  18. Let me start from the beginning: I bought my International Galaxy S7 secondhand from someone on eBay who says that he got it from a liquidation company and that it was in pretty much mint condition, which, upon inspecting it myself, was seemingly true. However, it didn't take long for me to start noticing that it had one major issue: every few days - every day, at first - the phone would just randomly freeze, then restart and get stuck in a bootloop for a random amount of loops each time. At first, I seemed to be able to get it out of the loop by getting it into TWRP(I installed a custom recovery and rooted it, by the way), and then just restarting it. Though, after a while, this method stopped working. The only semblance of a pattern I could notice was that the S7 REALLY didn't like me using Snapseed to edit my images, as the freezing happened most often when opening RAW images. And that brings us to yesterday... I take a picture of my new desk to show to my Discord buddies, and as soon as I go to export it from Snapseed, my phone freezes, and restarts. I just plugged it in and set it down and proceeded to start putting said desk together. About 15 minutes later, I checked in on it, and it was STILL in a loop. So, I booted it into TWRP, and rebooted from there. Though, after another 15-20 minutes, it STILL was stuck. This is where I decide to go ahead and clear the cache, and even Dalvik cache, but of course it didn't do jack shit. So, I started performing Nandroid backups on my stuff(I had to do it all separately because my SD card couldn't hold a full backup of everything), and then started looking on XDA for a ROM to replace the stock one I was running, because I was still thinking that I was facing a software issue... While I downloaded the new ROM, I just decided to let my phone keep trying to boot up because I was still holding onto a tiny bit of hope that it would eventually just fix itself. In hindsight, this probably wasn't the smartest idea. I finished building my desk, and went to check on the S7, and all that I saw was a black screen with the LED up top lit up blue. "OK," I thought,"It's just stuck in-between the bootup logo and the Samsung startup animation again." So, I hold volume down and power to reboot it, but nothing happened. I didn't feel it vibrate, I didn't see the bootup logo, it just stayed black(and blue). I tried plugging it in... Nothing. Tried connecting it to my computer... Nada. Tried using my old USB jig(that thing that people would use to get their phones into Download mode)... Absolutely fucking nothing. After panicking and rushing to my local AT&T store because I lost my SIM tray ejector tool, I ended up putting my SIM back into my old Note 4, and that's where I'm at today. The S7's battery has since died, and it still won't charge or do anything at all. I tried calling Samsung customer service, but they said that they have never heard of this issue, and even if they had, there's really nothing they can do since I have the International variant of the phone. I then tried some local phone repair shops, but they all seem to mostly just focus on things like phone screens and batteries, so I'm pretty much stuck. While this problem doesn't appear to be completely unheard of, I can't find anything about a fix, as it's either a hardware fault, or an extremely fucked-up firmware issue. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe there's a North American repair service that can fix problems like this? I'm getting rather fed up with Samsung and the fact that the last 2 phones that I've had from them is both have had very annoying faults, whether it be a broken GPS and vibration that stops working a few minutes after boot, or frequent and damaging bootloops...
  19. Not terrible enough that leaks have actually happened. And even if one did, I'd still have 2FA on my bank account, so they wouldn't even be able to access it.
  20. You must have missed the part where they have sponsored quite a few of Linus's videos... But yes I do think the website name is rather unoriginal.
  21. Everytime that I try to add my Wells Fargo account, it goes through the motions as though it supports 2FA, but after I put in the code they text me, it says that I need to just go ahead and disable it outright to be able to add the account. Is anyone else having this problem? I'd really like to use Privacy, but I'm not willing to lower my bank account's security just to do so.
