  1. I have an Anker Soundcore Motion Boom speaker and I noticed that it isn't dustproof. I will be using it in a factory that is somewhat dusty though. What kind of problems could happen if I use it in a dusty environment? Can I just air spray or water spray ( it is IPX7) the speaker off to clean it? Is the speaker not being dustproof something I should worry about? Thanks!
  2. I recently had a problem where I had to change ownership of a bunch of files/folders with a decent amount of anime episodes in each folder on one of my computers specific drives because of a weird user account that was a SID having ownership. Now when I open the folders it takes a bit longer for the page to populate with the files inside. It says "Working on it" when I open any of the folders, but loads instantly once it has been opened once. I know this sounds stupid, but isn't it supposed to pre-find all the files when the computer starts? I thought all the folders open instantly basically once the PC loaded after being turned on. Is it supposed to have a delay each time you open a folder the first time after a restart?
  3. It's specifically videos in folders in my case. The folders with more episodes do take longer to open, but I remember it being less then 1 second before... maybe i'm just miss-remembering. Is that a normal thing in windows 10?

  5. I just got a Vive wireless for Christmas and hooked it all up. I can play games, but I get a disconnect randomly within the first 1-2 minutes of playing a game. I reconnects withing 5-10 seconds and so far seems like it won't disconnect again after that. I haven't tried hopping from game to game before resetting steam vr to see if it disconnects once per a game yet. I can hear the computer loosing connecting to the headset and other components once it goes grey. Then It makes all the reconnecting sounds and after 5ish seconds I can see again. The screen usually goes grey for the first 1-2 seconds and then it goes black until it reconnects. Is there a specific reason this could happen? I have changed the connection channel to 2 and 3 but I didn't get any difference. All the Vive firmware is up to date and my GPU drivers are up to date also. Can someone help me troubleshoot this?
  6. I recently bought a 8 TB HDD and also have an old 3TB HDD. The 3TB HDD recently stared having issues installing games on steam. During the installation and download of a game the disk active time was at 100% the whole time. It caused the download to start and stop many times throughout. I decided to see if my drive was failing and downloaded Crystal disk info. When I checked, I noticed that both the 3TB and 8TB HDD both had the same errors. When I checked online what they meant, most of the results I found were that the drive is dying and needs to be replaced asap. Is this true? I just bought the 8TB drive around 2 weeks ago so I can still technically still return it on amazon. The 3TB HDD on the other hand is kinda old. Is there any way for software to make the drive fail like that? Is it just luck of the draw? I just recently did the upgrade to windows 10 about 3 weeks ago and now both drives are failing... Any knowledge about this would help. Thanks in advance!
  7. The direct cable with the CAT 7 cable worked fine, so I am assuming I just need to replace my router. I still wonder why the old one couldn't handle the data transfer if its a 100Mbps rate router...?
  8. The router is https://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Advanced-Simultaneous-Dual-Band-Wireless-N/dp/B004XH1LT0/ I did notice that the cable between my PC with the Movies on it and the router is a CAT 5e cable, while the calble fro the router to the PC with the TV is a CAT 7. I can try a direct cable tomorrow since I need to sleep soon.
  9. It plays back fine on a local drive, but just not across the LAN. Both PCs are decently high end gaming PCs. Shouldn't a 100Mbps router still have no problems with this, even if it is an older model?
  10. I recently bought a 4k TV and have downloaded some 4k movies. I have the movies saved on a HDD on a Desktop in my room connected to my router by ethernet. The TV is hooked up to another desktop in the living room also connected to the router through ethernet. When I play movies from the bedroom PC through the network on the TV in the living room, through the other PC, it plays normally for most of the time. The problem is that it has small stutters/stops for 1-2 seconds, but only 2-4 times a regular 4k movie that is 20 gigs. When I play a VR video, on the other hand, it is stuttering about every 10-15 seconds. I know the VR video is a much higher bitrate, but I thought that a local network should still be able to handle that. My router supposedly does 100Mbps, but is quite old. Is there something i'm missing to make these videos play more smoothly over the LAN?
  11. How would I be able to tell what is a good board to OC the 8600k on? The main reasons I was choosing that motherboard was the price and it fits the black and red color scheme of the other stuff that go with it.
  12. First off, I am new to overclocking pretty much. I am thinking about buying the Strix Z770-H motherboard https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075RJHLBC/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1 , but I have read that its not the best to overclock on and other strange thing about it. I am really just trying to figure out if I can use a i5 8600k processor with it and get a good overclock and how to do so. Does anyone know a video guide I can find that will show the bios of the Z770-H and what settings I need to change to overclock it correctly? I don't need anything crazy high. I just want to get a decent OC out of it without too much confusion. Thank you!
  13. Also, do you think the 970 EVO nvme drive will stay at $117 from here on out? I will be finishing the computer in January/Febuary.
  14. Also, random side question... Would buying a regular 1TB 960 EVO SSD https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Inch-Internal-MZ-76E2T0B-AM/dp/B078DPCY3T/ be any worse for a VR gaming computer? It would mainly just be for more drive space vs the M.2 drive. I was interested in the M.2 drives for the speed and having the OS on there.
  15. That seems strange. I thought they would just keep it the same price until it was gone. So the 970 EVO nvme drive I linked is just straight up better than the 960 EVO nvme drive I linked?
