  1. So, your parents buying this for you? Just curious.
  2. I can't really think of a scenario there I would need 64GB, I don't need 32GB either honestly. So I think I'm good on that point. Thanks for clearing that out for me! My head is just spinning after all numbers and names haha. Yeah, about that. Couldn't they released it earlier... I just want to get this done, but 35% better performance x2 (I have to buy two..) is quite attractive so I will most likely wait.
  3. Sorry for my bad manor whit this late reply, but it's my thread and I'm the only one geting hurt by it... The past week I've been working, sleeping and researching and I think I've finally completed the list. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dPvND8 CPU: I'm going to stay whit Intel, 7700K will rock this boat. Cooler: Unleash the kraken! Yeah.. Switched out Be quiet!s Silent loop 280 to NZXT kraken x62. Probably gonna slap on some be quiet! fans though, we'll see. Motherboard: Decided to go up a notch to MSI Z270 Gaming M5, not a big jump in price, liked the features and think it looks slightly better than MSI Gaming Pro Carbon. Storage: Samsung 960 EVO NVMe 1TB. PSU: Staying with my original plan, Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 1000W. Note: According to PCpartpicker M.2 slot #0 an #1 shares bandwidth whit some sata ports. - The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6Gb/s port is disabled. - The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6Gb/s ports are disabled. I do only have the need for 1 sata port (for now) so this shouldn't be a problem? Overclocking: Changed my mind, I'm gonna overclock everything. Other than that I think I'm done. So if someone have a final advice, bring it. Thanks to everyone that took the time to help me, appreciate it!
  4. Thank you for taking your time to put this list together, I appreciate it, but I will ignore this list because barely anything on it is what I'm looking for. The CPU is quite interesting though, a similar CPU from Intel cost more than dubble the price so that should speak for itself. But why should I choose AMD over Intel? A question I probably should wait whit to ask after the release, but still, I'm curious. Can you confirm the theory I asked above? Will the PSU operate more silence if it's a 1000W rather than a 850W? I'm sorry, but the motherboard does not fit me perfectly, as you said, it's covered in white and white is not part of the color theme :/ Thanks anyway!
  5. 7700K, noted. NZXT Kraken X62, in witch way is it better? Is it the controllable pump? Sure, it's a damn sexy cooler, but I like the clean look of the Silen Loop too. After some quick research both seems to be quite equal. I'm not questioning you, I'm just trying to learn how to think when it comes to all this part picking, as I mentioned before, I'm new to this, this will be my first build ever. A yes, as I was corrected before I was going whit one Samsung 850 evo 1TB instead of two smaller ones. But you think it would be smarter to go whit the 960 evo 1TB? This drive will be used for Windows and the games I regularly play. Or why would I benefit buying this over the 850? I know the 960 is way faster, but would it be such a big difference when gaming is my biggest priority? Forgot to mention why I picked a 1000W PSU, I knew that 850W is enough to power the system, but I thought if I put in a 1000W the load will be lower for the PSU and therefor operate more silence. But this is maybe wrong? About corsair, I've been reading around a little and if you compare Be quiet!s flagship whit Corsairs flagship models, Corsair seems to be more of a "budget version". This might be false, I don't know, might just be a lot of fanboy bullshit... Otherwise, all other parts seems to be good? I shouldn't add anything? Thanks for your time!
  6. And I won't edit any videos so it doesn't matter. Thanks man! Any thoughts on the M.2 SSD? It will only have windows on it, and I'm doing this so the PC will start up faster, correct?
  7. Hmm, ok, the 1700 and 1700X are at the same price range. Will keep my eye on those.
  8. Okok, but my theory was kind of on the right track? But a non noticeable improvement is quiet unnecessary so a single drive it is. 1TB to start whit. Should I only keep my most demanding games like, gta 5, the witcher 3, battlefield one and so on, on the SSD and lesser smaller games on the HDD?
  9. Nope, haven't considered that, but I think I will go whit Intel, feels more comfortable whit them.
  10. Hello, just a confused newbie passing by. I'm looking for some help whit deciding what parts I should go whit fot my new PC, I've been reading and watching videos for quite some time now, but the more I learn the more confused I get.. So I was hoping you guys could help me decide why I should do something or why I shouldn't, thanks. Background: I've been a laptop warrior for, well, pretty much all my life and now I'm tired of having everyone say that I have a shitty pc (which is true...) so, time to build a beast "shall we". And no, i'm not just some kid that dreams about this, this is an actual projekt that are going to happen... Link to all the parts for those who don't want to read about my thoughts. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FLvTVY Budget In USD this build will be around $3200-$3500 and I will write all prices from amazon so it will be easier for you guys. But I live in Sweden and it's a bit more pricey here because I'm buying everything from local retailers, so the same parts here costs closer to $4500, money isn't really a big concern. The budget is for the PC alone, no peripherals. Usage Gaming, web browsing and maybe some streaming. Yes, i'm a total retard for spending this amount of money when gaming is my main usage, I know, just play along. Monitors 1 to start whit (already bought it), will upgrade to 2 when I fell I want one, might go whit a total of 3 if the system allows it, just for fun. Peripherals I do already have everything I need, mouse, keyboard, chair and headset, so no need to buy anything. Looks The esthetics is a big deal, the color theme is black with red details. It should look clean and be silent. Cable management is important. More on this later. Overclocking No, not to begin whit anyhow, I'm thinking of letting it run as it is for a year or two, when I feel I need a little boost I'll overclock it. Should I rethink this? Parts What I have I have already bought som parts and those are the following: 2x GTX 1080 GPU, 32GB memory and 1 4TB HDD. CPU Intel core i7 6700K $310. Or maybe might as well go whit the 7700K? Or should I pay an extra 100$ for the 6800K whit 6 cores and then just overclock it immediately? CPU Cooler Be quiet! silent loop 280 $200. I don't want to get in to custom water cooling and I don't like the looks of a big air cooler, so an AIO is my only option, but there's a problem, I want it to be silent PC and the pumps in AIOs do most of the time sound like jet engines according to many users here. Is the silent loop from be quiet! what I'm looking for? Are there any better options out there? I've heard that Corsair H115i is quite loud so that one is not an option. Motherboard I'm lost here, MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon $174, I picked this because My GPU are from MSI... I want something that looks good and fits in whit the other components. An all black or black whit red details is a must, I don't want any white or other colors that goes away from the color theme. Memory HyperX Fury DDR4 2400MHz 32GB 4x8GB $240, it was on sale so I bought it. I will probably never need 32GB, 16 would be more than enough. More than 2400MHz is waste of money (as that's not a problem...) because I will never need more than that. Am I correct? Should I buy something else? Should I switch from 4x8GB to 2x16GB? Storage Seagate IronWolf 4TB $140, was on sale, bought it. Will use it for storage of pictures and so on. My steamlibrary will be on SSD, I think, should it? 2x Samsung 850 evo 500GB $330. I have some idea of dividing my steamlibrary on these two, instead of having one single 1TB SSD whit everything on it, because if everything is on one single drive there will be more things for the drive read trough and therefore 2 drives that have divided up the storage will work faster. I have no idea if this is true, just some theory I came up whit. And then I was thinking of adding an M.2 SSD and have Windows on it, a Samsung 960 evo 250GB or something similar. Good idea? Graphics Card 2x MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X $1280. A friend told me to buy 2 1080, was probably a joke, but I took it a bit more serious than I should have, so I bought 2 when it was black friday... SLI ftw I guess, now afterwards I know that all games don't support 2 way SLI so I'm a bit regretful, but what the hell, here we go. I'm trying to build the PC around the GPUs. Case Be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 $240. I like it, simple as that and I haven't found anything like it yet. I'm hoping that this case will keep this PC as quiet as possible. The only turnoff is that there's no power supply shroud, so I was thinking I make my own then, I know a guy that can help e out. But I'm open for suggestions of other cases that can compete whit this one. Power supply Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 1000W $250. I'm starting to see a theme here, Be quiet! fan boy maybe...? The choice stod between this and Corsair RM1000i and I've already piked other stuff from Be quiet! so the dark power felt like the obvious choice even tho it's more expensive. Operating system Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit Fans 4x Be quiet! SilentWings 3 PMW 140mm $108. The case come whit 3 preinstalled fans, the cooler comes whit 2 and If I want to I can put 1 more at the top, 1 more in front and 2 at the bottom. Do I want this? Cables I'm thinking of going whit some custom cables from cablemods, it would look really clean, but I haven't decided yet. I'ts one more cost to add and I barely know what I need. Maybe for the future. Do I have to buy any other cables than those that come whit the power supply? Other Have I missed something that you guys think I should need? Monitor AOC AG271QX. This is a 27" monitor, 1ms, 144hz, 2560x1440. Bought it on a sale, will probably use it as my second monitor in the future. How will this PC handle 4K? Sorry for the long and probably painfull reading, my grammar are most likly not the best... Thanks for answers and have a nice day
  11. Thank you so much for your help! Well, it seams that the HDD is dead and that recovery service was way to expensive to be worth doing.
  12. Does some one know what I should do?
  13. Okay, I need some help here. I got mad and hit my laptop (yes, that was extremely stupid done my by me...), the pc restarted it self and now I have an error message on my screen what says "Boot device not found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard disk - (3f0) F2 system diagnostics For more info, please visit: www.hp.com\go\techcenter\startup" So I cheeked the hp-site but didn't really get any help. I've tried to restart the pc simply by holding the power button. Then it started the HDD started to make noises, a beeping sound. So my question is, what should I do? Are the HDD dead? If it is dead, is it possible to get out the files what was stored in it? I'm a complete noob when it comes to this things so would like some help. Thanks!
