Hi all so i have finally gotten all of my components after waiting for over two weeks for the K70 lux rgb keyboard to come back into stock before Overclockers UK could ship it all. will be building it on my day off on Wednesday which will be the first time i have done a complete build myself before. Components brought: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass Mid Tower Case - Anthracite Grey Intel Core i7-6700K EK Water Blocks Predator 240 Asus Maximus VIII Formula Intel Z170 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB 3000mhz Samsung 500GB 850 EVO SSD Samsung 120GB 750 EVO WD Blue 2TB HDD Corsair RM Series RMi 650 '80+ Gold' Corsair Gaming K70 LUX RGB Mechanical Keyboard, Backlit RGB LED, Cherry MX RGB Brown Microsoft Windows 10 32/64-Bit - USB Pen Drive Im carrying over my 970 GPU from my current build as im still only gaming at 1080p and the 970 handles them all with ease still, and will look to up grade that at a later date. also im going to move my current build into a new case and give that to my young son so he to can join the PC master race (and so he doesn't have to keep playing his games on my computer!) Possibly, im preping for a new build and want to see how much better the performance is than the current 900 series as i currently have a 970 but would like to do a new build with a custom water loop.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere on the forums yet, but just seen a Post by OC3D.net noting that Nvidia have added a new wallpaper to their site that has a stark resemblance to the leaked pictures of the 1080/1070 shroud. the post also notes Nvidia will be holding a live steam on Twitch tomorrow at 6PM PST. here is to hoping we get some decent info tomorrow!

As nice as all this Pascal, deep learning ai, VR stuff is...all i wanna know is if it can run Crisis 3 at 60 FPS in 4K so i can start saving and with my meagre yearly salary afford to buy something in the next decade.

Have heard a lot of good things about Primochill tubes also.

Also you may want to purchase the extra fittings to be able to create a drainage system because as far as i know they don't come with any way to drain the system easily.

i wouldn't say you need to have a super high end system to have a custom loop, and as i said in my post it would be an on going project. W-L thanks for the info on the extra fittings i had a feeling i would be missing some things.

So im looking to do a new build from my current system which is around 4/5 years old now minus my GPU (GTX 970) which i will be carrying over to the new system. I wanted to do a new build but to also have a bit of an on going project for me to focus on in my spare time. what i could really do with, is some critique on the water cooling components and any suggestions on tube routing within the case as im looking to use the Asus Maximus Formula VIII motherboard and want to make use of the water block on the board. here is the list of components i have selected currently: in the future i would like to extend the loop to include the GPU but may wait until the pascal cards have been released, also missing is sleeved cables, which im still deciding on a colour scheme hence their current omission. In regards to the tube routing this is slightly difficult due to this only being a CPU loop for the moment and i feel with me using flexy tubing the routing i have mocked up in paint may look a bit untidy and ruin the ascetic of the build. This will be my first time water cooling so don't feel totally comfortable going the hard line route just yet. . Appreciate all help given.
