  1. I think my most favorite thing about the one is dem speakers
  2. Dude I have to say get the GR07 MKII they are great. The build quality is excellent and sound is great. But if money is your concern then RE-400 is the best value out of all of them.
  3. The shure are a safe bet if you want something similar to the ie80 at the price point. Don't forget to use the affiliate link on whichever you buy, which I already linked. ;D
  4. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AWLEAH6/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0RW3HHHG4S8E78VJ9PWV&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846 These are very popular for that price range. And there's also the Shure if you like the look and build quality a little more. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PNZFZ8/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0RW3HHHG4S8E78VJ9PWV&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846
  5. One isn't really better or worse than the other it just really depends on what you want out of them. If you prefer something more open and laidback then you go with the headphones and if you want something more intimate and isolating you go with the earbuds. It's similar to when you compare open headphones and closed headphones they serve their own purposes. However, I don't think you can compare the two through price and performance as they are way too different, you can just do the pros and cons of each.
  6. Audioengine has thier own amp that both powers the speakers and headphones. This amp is basically made for driving those speakers. However, note that this does not have a dac. http://www.amazon.com/Audioengine-N22-Premium-Desktop-Amplifier/dp/B0049OI08W/ref=pd_sim_e_1
  7. The USB is intended to charge your other device theres not data go through it. But yeah, you basically use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and plug it in. You also do not need an amp because it is a powered speaker. Thats why they have that big heat sink on one of the speakers.
  8. Yeah I would have waited for the x5 but i settled for the x3 seeing how I have nothing more than 24/96 and didn't really need the extra dsd support. I have also tried the e18 with my s4. Really cool in concept but impractical.
  9. +1 I have the s4 and it sounds like complete trash. Now im sing the fiio x3 as my portable music player which at least in the states is cheaper than the ipod classic.
  10. The ipod is miles ahead of any android phone out there. They will make a big difference through the headphones you have. I would recommend getting either the older ipod video 5th gen or the newer ipod 7th gen as they have slightly better audio than other iterations. Note the ipod 5th gen was made with a wolfson dac and the 7th gen was made in house. But if you can find a better deal on the 6th gen its still not bad, just not as good.
  11. You can go on this website and get a round about for color. All you need to do is gamma calibration, black levels and white saturation. http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
  12. Well I want something really smooth. Like when I tried the mx red ducky compared to the corsair k90, I could tell instantly that the ducky had more resistance while the k90 were a lot smoother.
  13. I have been using a mx blue ducky shine 2 and I really like it but I am missing my razer blackwidow for gaming. The blackwidow was definitely lighter to press than the ducky were. I am looking for a new mx blue keyboard that is also really light to press similar to the blackwidow but maybe of higher quality. Any suggestions on a soft pressing keyboard or should I just go for a new blackwidow? Thx
