"You can't power your headphones" seems like some unclear wording, maybe say something like your headphones don't get loud enough?

C/Y mount Contax Zeiss glass is what you would expect from Zeiss, but obviously not cheap. There's a good thread on the reduser forums here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?92044-Contax-Zeiss-Survival-Guide . If I were to build a set of lenses for video I'd be looking at finding some and adapting. Cheap compared to cine lenses but more expensive than a new lens from Nikon/Canon.

So, the party line around here is that onboard is "good enough" for the typical audio budget under $200ish. While generally true, there are exceptions. Namely, this article shows that all is not rosy on the modern motherboard audio front:

    MEASUREMENTS: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (Creative Recon3Di) - Motherboard DAC / Audio Output

The most egregious problem is a very audible 3dB/octave roll-off in the bass. This is enough to rob any headphone of a lot of bass quantity. I would advise anyone with a motherboard sporting audio by Creative to check out the amp and DAC recommendation thread for an appropriate solution - or to avoid these motherboards altogether if you care about audio performance.

From the comparisons I've heard, the AT2020 sounds better for instruments (guitar) and the AT2035 sounded much better for vocals and lower pitched talking voices. If you just need something cheap to connect 1 XLR mic to your PC you could get a Blue Icicle ($45), it just has volume control. A Focusrite Scarlett solo ($100) or 2i2 ($150) is a good choice if you want an instrument and a mic plugged in at the same time. The Mackie Onyx Blackjack is also a great choice.
