  1. What even are those benchmarks? Surely something better could have been picked... Like obviously a 128 core zen 4 processor would be at least three times as fast as a 32 core zen 1 one.
  2. Would stuff like tracking errors not be a part of the format? This section is a bit wonky. They do mention disc rot at 13:40, seems it was added in post seeing as the co-host disappears.
  3. The initial wave of screwdrivers was 100k units which was then upped to 150k. I'm not sure if there's been more ordered since then but I think its well under a million and closer to 200k-250k units.
  4. https://www.amazon.com/8-Pin-EPS-12V-Female-Splitter-Cable/dp/B01JC4D3NU would this not work?
  5. The only reason I suggested that is because you said there's a less hassle with bios than with windows.
  6. Is there some way to disable the GPU (google tells me it's a MX450)?
  7. Do have some kind of bright light to shine into the display? If you do this and can see stuff but it is dark, then it could be that the backlight has failed.
  8. It most likely won't show as an i9. See https://youtu.be/gIEGN5rV2JY?t=978
  9. It'll work but it has a very low clock speed 1.5Ghz, and with it being an engineering sample its possible that things like turbo boost don't work, it might not be that fast. You'd be better off switching to an AM4 platform if you want to upgrade, with something like a 3700X can be found for <£100 and a cheap b450 for ~£50.
  10. I think it'd be better to raise the budget if possible to something near £1250. It seems a bit wasteful to spend £950 on a dead-end platform while for relatively not much more you could get better. Say something like 7700X/3D + 7800XT when it releases.
  11. As I understand the ECC is for before the video is published - how does that work with NDAs for product launches?
  12. Are the videos encoded differently for download vs streaming?
  13. The thread was created by James so I'd assume he had some part in it.
