You're on WiFi. There's always latency on WiFi.

Personally, i block ads for my own mental well being. Ads drive me f*cking insane! They're annoying, the actors are annoying, their voices are annoying, everything that happens in them is meant to annoy you. So i've banned all ads from my life for a long time now. I don't watch TV anymore, when i listen to the radio i turn it off or mute it as soon as the ads start.
I use an ad blocker but for those video's that have ads in them that i can't skip i just turn off the audio and go do something else while the ad plays.

Sure, here and there i still hear/see ads sometimes, but they only remind me why i f*cking hate them in the first place. I understand they are trying to make money but imho they should do it without annoying the shit out of you. The only ads i actually remember are the ones that entertained me, made me laugh.

something else ads did is completely ruin most songs for me because they use them in the most annoying ways, and you see/hear them 100 times a day. I have a bad case of getting songs stuck in my head, so another reason to ban ads from my life as much as possible.

So calling ad blocking morally wrong is a f*cking joke and it needs to stop. Creating these annoying f*cking ads is far more morally wrong.

sorry about the rant... just adding $0.02 😛

They have a photo copy of both your license and social security card (at least that’s what employers in Michigan have). With that you’re already compromised. So this really isn’t going to be an issue.

Solution. Ad blocker + private window + not being signed in. ( best part is it’s free)

Donut417 got a reaction from Lurick in wifi faster than ethernet?
Doesnt work that way. Ethernet is is 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps , 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps. Nothing in between. 4 wires are needed for at least 100 Mbps, all 8 are needed for Gigabit and above. My only guess is maybe an issue with Windows, the driver, or some other software causing an issue.

Your Power Supply is Active PFC and the UPS uses a simulated sine wave. Not sure if thats the issue but I do recall when buying my first UPS, the research I did then did say you needed a UPS that had a proper sine wave with a Active PFC PSU. That might be your issue.

Looking at what an Optus router is, its for cellular based internet. Most cellular companies I know of here in the US use carrier grade NAT as they dont have enough public IP's. Thats likely your issue.

If you had 16GB of RAM, in theory you could run an 8B LLM on a smartphone with enough NPU performance to do the inferencing. So yes, these  0.08B to 3B models could run on an iPhone natively to perform complex iOS tasks.

Finally, an intelligent Siri that would be actually useful.

Apple bought DarwinAI earlier this year, and the firm’s employees have joined the iPhone maker’s AI division, according to Bloomberg, which cites “people with knowledge of the matter, who asked not to be identified because the deal hasn’t been announced.”

Another advantage of DarwinAI that will benefit Apple specifically is the company has developed tech that can make AI systems smaller and faster. “That could be helpful to Apple, which is focused on running AI on devices rather than entirely in the cloud,” Bloomberg writes.

So yes, rumored to be implemented in iOS 18.

To be honest when the launched the stores AI was kinda meh, it was still really really new. They probably could have AI do the job now. My guess is Amazon doesnt want to take the time to build and train an AI to do it.

We usually at least have 2 choices in most places (not fake choices where they pretend to serve an area for the FTC when they only have connectivity to a single house in the entire block, like what we hear about US ISPs).
Along with third party resellers who resell the same packages for slightly cheaper in exchange for less support.

Honestly I'm just surprised you could keep a cloud recording for that long in the first place. Personally, I haven't had a TV service in my home for the past 4 years. Haven't felt the need for it, everything is available on the internet anyway.
