Good news for once. Went to see my doctor. In a…

I did. They did the whole lower half of my torso. It showed what looked like either hepatitis or fatty liver. We did blood work to confirm. Im not concerned because my enzymes are only higher by .3. My mom's are much higher than mine. Im just trying to focus on fixing the issue before it becomes an issue. I get more blood work in 3 or 4 month to see where it is. If its back to normal then we are good, if not I go see a specialist.

Michigan is known for getting below 0 in the winter. 40 to 50 degrees with a light jacket is where I need to be to be outside. Also we dont have really good infrastructure for walking, as there are very few sidewalks and drivers to give a shit about pedestrians. My current goal is to get to a weight where I can use my mom's treadmill that in our basement. Because while I could use a settlement from a lawsuit, I dont feel like going thru the pain and misery of the American healthcare system.

Doctor told me to eat veggies. I found these at the store: https://www.libbysvegetables.com/products/peas-carrots-4-oz-cups-4-pack/. Cut out carbs (using whole wheat wraps where I can) Eat more veggies Watch the amount of sugar I eat (I have an issue with sweets, plus Type 2 Diabetes runs in the family on both sides) Stopped using mayo or Miracle Whip, started using mustard Use seasonings like Black Pepper on veggies to make them more tayste Started eating 0 sugar Greek Yogurt and some berries for breakfast most days Trying to stick to a 3 meal a day regiment (with a focus on not eating after diner) For lunch I do the flavor pouches of tuna or chicken, with some banana pepper rings for some extra flavor. 1 of the veggies cups I linked and a piece of fruit. The most important thing, Find things you like and find variety. That all being said, you cant give up all the things you like. I do still eat some bread, for example if I want subway one day or something to that degree as I do eat out once a week at most. I like Pizza, but instead of buying the frozen variety, I now force myself to go out and get one from a pizza place. Im interested in learning how to make pizza from dough to sauce, but thats going to be a goal further on in to the year. Once it warms up a little more Im going to try to walk 4 times a week.

It comes from the web series Red Vs Blue.
  5. Good news for once. Went to see my doctor. In about 2 months I lost 35 lbs. I went from a BMI of 36 to 31. A BMI of less then 30 will take me from obese to overweight. My live enzyme is still a little high and I potentially have fatty liver, BUT the solution is weight loss. If I potentially loose enough I might be able to stop taking blood pressure meds. Ive struggled with my weight my entire life and now a see light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm down about 10ish lbs from my heaviest need a better scale, and for me the hardest things were snacks and sugary tea. I decided to go cold turkey around Jan 10th and I can tell you the cravings were intense. My crutch was Cheez-its, and the cravings were actually a problem the first two weeks. I found a bottle of the sugary tea a week or two back and decided to see if I still liked it, and I only got about 2/3 of the way through before I couldn't drink any more of it. Decided to try a snack pack of Cheez-its last week and the dopamine rush didn't happen! I munched on them and they were good, but one little lunchpack was enough to satisfy the taste. I've been drinking a ton more water, moving a lot more when I can, and really cut down on the sweets. Now if I'm in the mood for something sweet, I grab a little pack or two of Welch's fruit snacks and a handful or two of those will satisfy it. I feel better, I look better, and feel more confident. As for veggies, I found a "stir fry mix" that I can get from a wholesale store and have a bowl of that with a lean meat as a meal.

Walking that five mile walk when it was 40 Fahrenheit without a jacket on for as little as a week helped build the strongest cold tolerance of anyone I know.

I'm a furnace, the nickname in my friend group for me is space heater. I have anti fog spray for fall/winter because I fog the car immediately upon getting in

Also FYI, even when you hit a normal BMI it can take several more months for your liver to recover.
So don't stress about it too much, stay on course and it will be resolved.

  6. Comcast has a meter on their site, though it takes 24 hours for it to update. My router also can keep track of total data usage as well as per device data usage. But my dad sits in front of the TV 16 hours a day and streams. My mom also likes to stream. In the winter time theres not much to do here. We have come close to the cap on a few occasions. My folks pay for the internet, so I try my damnest to not incur any overage charges. Good to know. Thanks.
  7. Then the game wont run or what? Thats what Im trying to figure out. If I cant run the game at 1440p at low then I might not pick up the game. At the time I upgraded to this monitor I wasnt really doing any gaming. My friend started getting me back in to it when I played with him on Sunday's. Outside of Sunday's I dont really game. 99.8% of the time Im surfing the net or watching media. So I really dont feel like investing in to a gaming PC at this time. Honestly I might just switch to a Steam Deck full time.
  8. The issue is we have data caps on our internet. So Its kinda like I want to be sure it will work good enough because its a large download. I dont like to burn data if I dont have to. Yes its an ultrawide. I actually run dual utrawides the one I use for gaming is 1440p.
  9. My monitor is only a 60hz display. I just know the RX5700 is getting old at this point, and many games i have now dip below 60 FPS. My friend is pushing me to get this game. I heard they got it running on the Steam Deck.
  10. How well do you think I could run the game at 1440p low settings on this hardware? Or could I push it to medium? 11. Specifically the upload speed. As DSL and Coax based internet are generally asymmetrical. The only symmetrical service is Fiber, and even then some providers dont offer symmetrical speeds. I use an i5 3570K, 16 gigs of DDR3 and Im able to have up to 3 streaming and a couple of transcodes going on the CPU with no issue. Nvidia is considered great for helping with the transcoding. So I dont see any issues. HOWEVER, if your media is in a format that what ever device your watching on supports, then you dont have to transcode, if you dont need trascoding then Plex can run on a potato.
  12. If you got some buddies to play with Rubber Bandits isnt bad.
  13. I haven't used Android in many years. I do recall that every manufacture had its own skin. My advice would be to buy a device that uses a similar interface as other people in the family. For example my folks have iPhones because my sister, brother in law, myself all have iPhones so it makes things easier when we get called to troubleshoot. Another thing, when you set up the device, make sure the short cuts for the apps they will be using are easy to find, like put them on the home screen.
  14. My uncle recently passed away. I was brought his two iPhone 6. One of them was not logged in with an Apple account and I was able to reset it to factory. The second says "Disabled, connect to iTunes". Is that equivalent to an iCloud lock? I just need to know that the data on the devices cant be accessed. Those were my instructions anyway. Not sure what the plans for the devices are, looking on eBay I seen some going from $50 to just over $100, but I dont think they are probably worth much, Im guessing the plans are for the hazardous waste disposal our county does a few times a year.
  15. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction with that thread. One of the suggestions was to delete the config file in the My Documents folder for KF2. In the end that worked but for some reason I couldnt delete it because it was linked to one drive. So for any one who find this thread I had to go in to one drive settings and remove that folder from being backed up. I deleted it and it finally ran.

  18. Did that when it didnt work the first time. I ended up reinstalling the game. Still nothing. Just installed new drivers. It at least flashed the Killing Floor start screen but nothing. 19. I have Killing Floor 2 installed. This is a fresh install because it refused to load before, plus I moved it to my SSD. For some reason it wont load. Steam shows it as launching then...... nothing happens. The game worked before. The only thing I did after I played last was upgrade my CPU and BIOS.

Running two 38" ultrawides at work is fun.

I have a 34" Ultrawide and a 25" ultrawide in a vertical orientation. Works pretty good. But side by side is kinda ridiculous.
  21. I dont know how. MacOS has a built in VNC client, Im not sure how to change the ports that it uses. I just know the setup worked before I reformatted and re setup my plex server a few months ago.
  22. I know with my moms BOSE soundbar we ran it thru optical out on the TV and the TV speakers were disabled. Maybe see about disabling the TV speakers and trying to just use the sound bar. I have a Samsung LCD TV, probably from the same time period and have external speakers connected, my TV also disabled the on board speakers.
  23. Never thought about Garmin. Im staying the hell away from Fitbit. My mom bitches about some of the things they took away and put behind a paywall. Plus she's had issues off and on. But I do have a iPhone and Macbook Pro, which is why I was looking at the Apple Watch as Im already in the ecosystem. Plus when I start walking and getting Exercise Ill probably want to listen to music on my travels and I know the Apple watch can control the functions of music play back. Not to mention I do use Apple Pay. I just know that Apple devices meld well together and the expirecne is generally great, where as my mom has a Charge 5 and has issues with it. I want the sleep tracking. I could charge it before I leave for work. I generally wake a decent time before I have to be there. According to my sister the SE and the Series 9 are about the same. So I may go with the SE.
  24. Been thinking about getting an Apple watch. Not sure which one, between the SE and the Series 9. Im looking to track some exercise and health related things as well as sleep. Plus I could use a watch. Plan on the non cellular version. Few questions I have. 1) How long does it take to charge? For example I have a few USB ports in my car and it takes about 25 min for me to get to work, would that be enough time? 2)Also whats the typical battery life look like? 3) Any case suggestions? I work in a warehouse so I need it to be a bit protected. 4) What kind of bands do people suggests? 5) Is this an item I should get Apple care for? OR will a case be enough?
  25. Today I figured out how to sauté veggies. Made some Pepper and Onion Quesadillas. Smothered them with some salsa. It was good. I think this is the year I learn how to cook. I kinda always wanted to learn but because I need to loose weight due to health concerns I think I going to try to make a honest effort to learn not only how to cook, but how to do it more healthy like.
