  1. The first bundle worked fine, but this one doesn't seem to be working. Probably some issue with the website.
  2. I drenched my old HP Membrane keyboard in coffee and that thing still works . Some of the keys were sticky for a while, but it eventually it went away and now my brother uses the keyboard. Unfortunately my G502 at the time was not as lucky as one of the side keys decided to stop working.
  3. I have a GT 630 and a GTX 760 from EVGA B stock and both of them work fine. The 760 does have some pretty annoying coil whine, I could try and RMA it, but it doesn't seem to effect performance at all.
  4. Thermal throttle maybe?, You are running two 390's under load.
  5. The i3 is perfectly fine, I have one in my brother's PC with a GTX 760, no issues and good performance. Plus it has much better single core performance compared to a stock FX6300. And it has a decent upgrade path.
  6. http://www.makewarnotlove.com/results.php They are supposed to be steam codes, but you do have to subscribe to their website using an email. Update: There's a new bundle now with Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops, and Viking: Battle for Asgard. Unfortunately at this time it seems none of the buttons work on the website. The website is working now.
  7. What are you using for streaming? The software might be using too much power from you CPU. You can use something like OBS with Quicksync to offload the encoding to the CPU's iGPU or use Shadowplay or OBS with NVENC to offload it to the 980's H.264 encoder.
  8. You can use a cloning software like Macrium Free, I've used it multiple times without any issues. Of course doing a clean install will always be the best and least buggy method.
  9. I'd get a new router, preferably a Dual Band (5ghz) N or AC router. I've used an Xfinity router for a short amount of time and the performance was not great.
  10. I think you miss read, I said 8 threads not cores. You can get the i7-4770K or Xeon 1231 V3 for the H81, B85, H97, Z97 platforms. These are Quad Core 8 thread processors.
  11. If he's only doing simple game footage editing 16 GB is probably not necessary and he can upgrade later if it becomes an issue. Now what I'd highly recommend is a processor with at least 8 threads if you want a good editing experience. Something like an i7 or a Xeon. The extra threads really help with editing.
  12. Have you tried using the stock cooler and see if its any better? Also, did you just get the processor recently? Maybe you can RMA it if you can't find a solution, Intel should have a 3 year warranty.
  13. I've been using 120mm Fractal R2 fans for a while, seem to work great and they're only about $10 a piece. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835352006&cm_re=fractal_r2_fans-_-35-352-006-_-Product
  14. I like how I don't care about anything on the checklist :P. Also I don't get the "Fastest in Home Wifi", I guess they are talking about their included router, but the last time I tried on of those it was terrible.
  15. EVGA B-Stock 750 Ti's are always plentiful. http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=8
  16. I'm honestly OK with Origin, at least it's some kind of competition for Steam.
  17. Ah, I see. Well good luck with that, there should be a couple of people with some Reference 980's.
  18. They look like Allen Head Screws, if you need the thread size take one of the screws and compare it with ones from a hardware store like Home Depot.
  19. I'd love to have a portable hand held gaming PC for retro indie games, but I don't know if this is what I'd get...
  20. Seems like Bundle Stars changed their give away system, you used to only have to use an Email and a Facebook account to get the game, (I have a specific email and Facebook for this kind of stuff). Now you have to go through all theses steps which is annoying. Any thing that asks me to sign in to steam outside of the client, I try to avoid.
  21. I'd get a 35mm f1.8 if you want something cheap, it will give you about a 50mm FF equivalent focal length. It's a good all around focal length, not too wide or zoomed in.
  22. This is why I want to support Vessel, the Youtube monopoly isn't good for anyone but Google.
  23. I use a Steelseries QcK with my G502. They're cheap so it's really inexpensive to replace with they get dirty.
