1080Ti only worth it if can get it for under $600. 2080 will be faster once drivers are optimized you can see GTX 1080 2016 drivers vs 2018 10-20fps difference

can get 1440p 144hz monitors from monoprice for around $250 each but 1060 wouldn't hit high fps in games looks like need upgrade GPU soon

Would just get GTX 1170 if think 1180 will bottleneck will be in $400-500 range and have extra features like ray tracing which 1080Ti doesn't support.

Asus Strix costs much as Gigabyte Xtreme cards but gigabyte xtreme care is 4 year warranty vs 3 year if you register it within first 30 days or you just get 3 year warranty.

That is why you always have backup graphics card that is decent enough to play games. GTX 1080 is going to cost you $699 dollars at launch they are only releasing the Founders Edition cards at launch to make the extra $100 dollars per card you won't see MSRP cards for months just FYI.
