  1. So. My friend and I were talking about phones we like and what features we would like in a phone and we came to the conclusion that we should just build one... However, we have no idea how the hell we would do that and we made a list of all the things we wanted in a phone and decided to see if someone has any ideas of a phone that would fit closest to our specifications or any added features we missed or if any of the features we thought of would be useless. So our challenge to you is to find the phone closest to our spec. just for a little fun. there is a notepad document attached with the specs and somethings have been labelled 1 or 2 which are things one of us wanted but not the other (everyone has preferences) The PERFECT phone.txt
  2. that sucks! i was just looking at adapters but i dont want to be risking money and a warranty if i dont know for certain it will work. the day apple allow us to build our own hackintosh is the day pigs will fly

  4. macbook pro retina 13 inch mid 2014 So as a student with all the files and crap i have to deal with, having to carry all my crap around is one thing but carrying my hard drive or usb sticks around is a pain as everyone wants to borrow them to transfer files. ultimately i want to just upgrade the storage space on my mac without paying someone else to do it. the process seems easy enough and i have my fair share of technical stuff when it comes to building pcs and fixing an old laptop. all im asking is for the best recommended 1tb ssd compatible with my macbook (macbook pro retina 13 inch mid 2014) thanks in advance xoxo
  5. So in the UK there is the Isp called Virgin media which is very popular across the uk. the router they provided me with is a dual band router with a 2.4ghz channel and 5ghz. The problem im is that i bought a wifi range extender last year and my 2 brothers are having issues connecting to the extender. the signal is sending but the actual connection to the internet is false. what im asking for is the best wifi range extender possible. price isnt too much of an issue but i just hope that it will work and extend a signal to the moon and back thanks in advance
  6. evga 4gb, hdmi and dvi to hdmi out, the monitors only support hdmi
  7. Hey there, so i'm having this issue with my screens where im casually playing league and all of a sudden one, i will get black screen on my monitors and then i will only see black on my primary monitor and then all i can see is my taskbar. im running a gtx 970 with latest drivers. the monitors are SAMSUNG S24D300 (primary) and a SAMSUNG S24D340 (secondary) i bought these at the same time and they were the exact same catalogue order so i dont know why the names are different. i've had these for over a year now and i dont mind upgrading but if i dont need to spend money. yeah. any help would be appreciated. i've turned them on and off a few times. if i leave my pc long enough and come back they just book properly.
  8. ok so i formatted it and partitioned it. but it is just black screening with "reboot and select boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
  9. Ok so I'm doing it now and it's black screening saying "reboot and select proper media boot device"
  10. it's the case of plugging it into the motherboard ion the rear IO using the 2.0 usb and then going to boot menu
  11. can i just partition it once and then put the os in there?
  12. Hi if anyone could help me out with this issue i'd be very grateful, my issue is.. I'm trying to boot windows 10 from a usb, the issue is tho. I'm using a mac to download the windows ISO and i cant seem to find a software that allows me to actually format the usb. i've been on the windows website and the only tool they offer is the one for windows devices only. if anyone can tell me how to format the usb on a mac so that i can stick the windows file on there i'd appreciate it. or if you can link to a video that will solve my problems or a software similar to the windows one or "rufus - create bootable drives the easy way" i'd also appreciate that  - Feidhelm
  13. thanks all he's caved in and decided to save up over summer and build his own pc
  14. So i wasn't sure if there was a sub forum for this already so i took my my best bet and posted it here. my friend wants to build a pc to game on, but he hates spending money. I told him they arent cheap and he brought up a good point which even confused me to the point where i couldnt say anything. the question was "why can i just buy a cheap factory made lenovo or dell and just upgrade the gpu?" and i thought at first it would be fine, just like upgrading your own PC but then i took into consideration the PSU that the case uses and all other things. Basically a simple answer would be to tell me a cheap factory PC which can do all the basic stuff such as browsing the internet, doing work (he's in college) and slightly average pc and then give me a gpu i could stick inside it and make it a "gaming" pc. he doesnt expect to be playing games like gta V at 4k 60fps just something like running far cry at 1080p Help is appreciated
