    No.

also, ZFS doesn't actually require 1GB RAM per 1GB Storage. that's a "rule of thumb", but it does not scale correctly.

    7. Exploits are common sense when it comes to security
MASTERKEY: "Exploiting MASTERKEY requires an attacker to be able to re-flash the BIOS with a specially crafted BIOS update. "
REBUTTAL: By the time you let attacker install BIOS you are already PWND

RYZENFALL: Exploitation requires that an attacker be able to run a program with local-machine elevated administrator privileges. Accessing the Secure Processor is done through a vendor supplied driver that is digitally signed.
REBUTTAL: By the time you let attacker to have admin rights, they can do anything they want anyway!

FALLOUT: Exploitation requires that an attacker be able to run a program with local-machine elevated administrator privileges. Accessing the Secure Processor is done through a vendor supplied driver that is digitally signed.
REBUTTAL: Same as above. Not a major concern

CHIMERA: A program running with local-machine elevated administrator privileges. Access to the device is provided by a driver that is digitally signed by the vendor.

So basically this thread is people who acknowledge that AMD actually stepped up their APU game with their Raven Ridge APU series and @mynameisjuan saying that the only things that matter are dedicated graghics or anything with an Intel label on it just further solidifies my assumption that he is zMeul 2.0

    Also says this...

    AFTER saying this...

C'mon dude, quit being so two faced and stick to the dedicated GPU threads since you're obviously so repulsed by anything less than HEDT...

Experience is all about individual people. For example I am fine having my frame rate at 30 fps. So this APU will absolutely be a smooth gaming experience for me. And I am sure most <16 year old will agree with that

Amen! This is my sentiments exactly!

I am looking to make a budget build for my son, who is 11. With today's graphic card prices and ram prices, it would be virtually impossible. This apu just opened the doors to replace my htpc/light gaming computer (old one is an fx6300 and R9 280x) and give him my old htpc for some medium 1080p gaming. This will be perfect.

InB4 @LinusTech compares it to an incomparable (and overpriced) intel chip and then recommends you buy the intel part.

Really though, these will be awesome for people who want a budget gaming build - the specs people are listing out really put this thing as a one-stop-shop for games that arent hyper-demanding and even have the makings of a great basic workplace CPU (APU)

AMD is whipping Intel right now, but Nvidia remains unbothered because Vega is basically smoke and mirrors.

That's because they didn't use the logos twice like intel did. And for the enterprise, asus, gigabyte, dell and supermicro are all the ecosystem you need.

Besides this was more a response to the claim that amd has NO ecosystem somehow and that they have 0 compatibility with anything, which is obviously ridiculous.

And the big deal is? Its not hurting the consumer and AMD makes a little bit more money and the owners of the product get noticed better. I see nothing wrong with this, I assume Nvidia, Intel etc all do this as well.

if by "go to" you mean for personal use and small businesses. I'd even go so far as to say, Dell SonicWall (or insert brand names' equivilant) is the defacto.

Why? because when there are 3 of you and there are 100+ sites when it breaks you call dell and they sort that shit out. when the machine pfsense runs on breaks while it is a relatively simple fix (repair/replace, reimage, reconfigure, or even use a backup to a new system) that is still far too much work to do during a potential outage (yes you should have some sort of EIGRP deployed to make use of redundant links, but management wont always approve the budget), especially considering your are already over worked.

Too be honest this may have changed, i'd assume it has, last time I looked at pfsense in any detail was 2007 and they didn't even support OSPF back then (seriously RIPv2 only, who has time to manage a network line that?).

you can't afford it, but that's the solution...

or you hairpin all of your traffic from those VMs out through their own vSwitch to the SonicWall (which is garbage by the way... have a look into Palo Alto or Fortinet)
