I'd get my mom a new monitor. Her current monitor is about eight years old and was behind the times when it was bought. From time to time it completely freaks out and I don't think it will last much longer. thanks for the help, but removing and reinstalling the drivers again didn't work. I've reseated my GPU so will find if it works or not soon enough I guess

This problem has been occuring for about a month now. After some, irregular time ingame, my game goes black and is windows, so I can only see my taskbar. The music and soundeffects of the game continue for several seconds and then also stop. I've updated my GPU and mobo drivers as a solution, but it didn't help. Haven't had this problem from december, when I built my PC, up until about a month ago. I have absolutely no clue what causes it, can anyone help? Could be a simple problem, it's my first build.
