Heya. I've got a 2010 iMac running high sierra, with the original magic mouse and keyboard which work without any issues. However, when using a wired mouse (an old Mad Catz rat 7), MacOS seems to only update the cursor location whenever any of the mouse buttons are pressed. The position of the cursor will be visually updated when moving the mouse around, but (for example) any clickable links under the cursor will not be highlighted unless the position is (for lack of better words) manually updated. This includes the detection of the cursor down at the dock, causing it not to pop up when I move the cursor near it (unless I click/drag down to the dock, then it will register the cursor's position there). The issue seems to persist when I connect both the magic mouse and wired mouse at the same time, and it disappears whenever I disconnect the wired mouse. Has anyone else had this problem before? Is there an (easy) fix for it? System specs: iMac 27-Inch (Mid-2010) CPU: I5-760 RAM: 8GB DDR3 / 1067MHz GPU: Radeon HD 5750 OS: MacOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra)

What is the third hole in the socket for?
Turbokees replied to GamerGry123's topic in Hobby Electronics
Did you mean this sort of socket? The middle pin is used for grounding here. Using an ungrounded plug may not fit depending on what you're using. However, plugging it into an ungrounded wall socket will (usually) not affect function of the device. -

I'm assuming you're talking about 120/240v cables? The third pin is probably used for grounding, yes. It helps if you specify the cable and device you're planning on using it with. -
Don't have another one near, I'll ask around if anyone I know has a spare cable. Though I don't really see how a damaged cable would be affected by a system restart.

I finished NFS Heat a few weeks ago and that really left me wanting more Prostreet-like nfs racing.

I just checked, my cover is still on (unmelted) and I've had this GPU for ~6 years.
-
I highly doubt the plastic would melt from GPU temps, if not then the engineers in charge of designing that were a bunch of dummies.
-
It won't hurt performance or cooling, so unless you plan on using it, having that cover on shouldn't be a problem.

Why would you?

Haven't heard of this game, what's wrong with the current planned remake?
-
Self-explanatory title. Along with probably everyone who's ever played it, I'd love to see a modern remake of Fallout: New Vegas. Same brilliant writing and gameplay, but less buggy and more 2020-level graphics. I've been following the F4:NV project for a while and I'm super hyped!

I bought XLM sometime in 2018 I think. Been seeing a bunch of posts about it, did Musk go ham on twitter again?
