YubinTheBunny got a reaction from mrbuz in Matte or Glossy Monitor?
Sometimes matte monitors could have a graininess look to them compare to glossy monitors. That being said, the fact that matte monitors don't reflect everything like a mirror makes them superior to glossy monitors. Like Apple's.

Edit: Wrote matte instead of glossy, Rip

Your ambient temps are pretty hot, so ye, that's normal. If your ambient was 25C with those cpu temps then that's a little hot. Also I'm curious what voltages are you putting for your vcore?

YubinTheBunny got a reaction from Chaos_Sorcerer in A question about dual-GPU card speeds
The titan z is probably slower because they had to clock it down in order to meet thermal and power limits. While AMD was like "F*** that" and decided to put 2 full 290x's in their dual card solution. That's why the r9 295x2 is water cooled probably, and crossfire usually scales better then sli.

Also, I forgot to add that the titan Z cost $3000 on launch while the r9 295x2 was half that. Probably one of the worst dollar to performance card I've seen in a while

YubinTheBunny reacted to Dunxy in How long should I stress test my PC?
When i used to go for absolute max on my oc's (id literally spend 30-40 hours tweaking over weeks to get that extra few mghz, i still overclock but dont take it as seriously these days) in order to claim what i consider fully stable, 12 hours in prime 95(this was a while back, not suggesting prime these days) without error.

I recall (this was with my old q9550 approaching 4ghz) having failures at around the 6 and even 10 hour marks and getting BSOD's on these settings on extreme gaming sessions.I thought MAYBE the oc was actually stable but failures caused by brown outs/power ripples, but crashes during gaming confirmed they were unstable!

So IMHO a couple of hours is not enough! Sure many games will run fine on slightly unstable OC, while others (high FPS seems to be a trigger) will crash almost instantly.

Ye, I use to have problem with my clocks due to brown outs to because of my AC or when my wife turns on her pc, but I fixed the problem with an UPS to counter the dips. And games and encoding/rendering things are definitely the best way to test stability.

1.344 volts seems kinda high for not having an overclock. The cpu is probably overcompensating for the vdroop or something.

Dota 2 is pretty easy to run, you could probably get a RX 480 or GTX 1060 depending on which one is cheaper for you and still be able to play triple A games at 60fps.

Pretty much the same, depends on which one you like better.

The new skylake motherboards are only rated to 2133 ram speed and anything above that is considered an overclock, if I remember correctly. But you can easily overclock the ram up to 2400mhz in bios.

Those are just size standards for the PSU. Just tells you if it fits in your case, and most cases should take ATX if not all of them.

Scroll down the list and look the names of the downloads. They have the word drivers in it. Download only those, restart only after you installed everything as that will save time. And also they are labeled with dates, look at the newest one.

There shouldn't bet a problem, as long as the ram speed and timing are close enough it should work. Even when they are vastly different from each other it should be fine 90% of the time.

It shouldn't be a bottleneck then. Try using DDU and clean install the drivers if no one suggested that yet.

You can crossfire only within the same chip family, so if you have a HD7950, HD7970, and R9 280, those would work.

Just sort the processes by CPU usage from highest to lowest and read the description to see what they are. If they aren't something that your OS needs to run, kill it. Worst case scenario you crash your windows and just need to reset the PC.

The way you describe it does make it sound like coil whine as you only get it under load. You could try to do the crysis 2 method to rid of it or RMA/exchange it.
