  1. Looking at benchmarks the Prolimatechs seems to be quite loud. Underload is 51db, if quiet is what your going for that cooler is not going to be for you. But performance wise it looks awesome.
  2. The phantek is known for it's awesome performance, and it can compare to a dual rad AIO, give 1-3C
  3. Now, let's take this to scale, the 8350 normal tdp is 125w, but at around 4.7ghz its about 220w.
  4. Assuming you don't over clock then yes. When you over clock the tdp goes through the roof.
  5. Tbh, other then the mounting, I would go for the one you think looks better in your system. Because everything else like sound and performnce , are very similar.
  6. Yup, but the instructions seems straight forward enough. Also don't put too much thermal paste. "Less is more." Grain of rice at most.
  7. All depends on what case you have. I have a Dark Rock, and I have it blowing up because of the text on it. And because heat flows upward all its doing is pumping heat out. And with the back exhaust fan its performance is the same regardless which direction you put it.
  8. Pull air from Front/Bot, exhaust Top/Back. Just hope that the Front/bot is filtered, or the dust is real.
  9. I don't suggest you painting the fan because even small amounts of weight can set the balence of the blades off. Use spray paints? Your better off buy a fan the colours you want. And it will fit in your case NP.
  10. I was around 11 or 12 years old. My parents were like what do you want? I was like "I wanna build a PC please." So we got all the parts on my trip to Hong Kong and when I came Back I built my first PC.
  11. How bout my Rig (in signature) I personally Guess 1K CAN. The PC itself is quite old doe.
  12. Dark Rock Pro 3 Fan club must be made. Biased OP.
  13. The silent wings and the pure wings are the same too me, just buy that ones that are on sale, or the ones that are cheaper.
  14. The Enermax Magma, not the prettiest looking thing, but Performance/noise wise is pretty good. And they cost only about 10-12$ a pop.
  15. General Case fans or Radiator and Heatsink fans? Biased towards Silence: Noctuas be quiet! Gentle typhoons
  16. Noctuas NF-F12 Provide alot of pressure and silent. They are expensive, but at least you only need to get 2.
  17. You only need 2 static pressured fans because, 4 vs 2 fans regardless of push or pull the performance is negligible (like 1-2C at most). I remember Linus talking about only needing to get 2 static pressured fans vs getting 4 normal fans and putting them push pull.
  18. Well, the radiator do benefit from the SP fans because SP stands for static pressure which allows you to push are through a rad more easily, and theoretically yield better performance. But they are quite loud, may I suggest something like the noctuas?
  19. If you go into the bios, at least on an asus board, you can set the fan profiles to silent/performance/manual. Maybe if you poke around the bios abit you can find those setting. Lets see if those do anything different. Also the fans are connected to non-PWM headers on your mother board right? Because PWM headers run them at 100% and you can't change the speeds
  20. That is really weird, maybe you can use speedfan or some other program to control all the case fans and lets see what we get.
  21. Is there anyway to reduce the fan speeds? I have my fan @ 800rpm while idle and they get around 17db
  22. What fans do they included in the case? Whats the rated db level @ what speed?
  23. Replace all the fans to noctuas or silent wings?
