  1. Linus, at 2.57-2.58-ish in the video, you can see the names of the files on the storage device...You might want to have a look at the video. Having dvd screeners of movies not out yet doesnt seem to be a great idea
  2. So I just finished setting up my brand new SP2500´s, and all I can say is: WOW ! The clarity the volume and the bass of these speakers is just in another tier of quality than anything I have heard before. Granted, I have not heard that many PC speakers, but I have heard loads and loads of home theater system speakers, and while these still dont come close to "real" home theater speakers, these are FOR SURE worth the price tag, and I cannot think I will ever need to replace them for anything else. Really happy with these - even more so than I thought I would be Have a good weekend everyone !
  3. Well, I went ahead and ordered the Corsairs a few hours ago. Its just hard to not want those when the reviews by the people I respect for tech reviews (Linus, Slick Tiny Tom and others) all praise them to the max. I will have to deal with the space under the desk, but I will either stand the sub on the side, or raise it up on something so I can fit my feet underneath it - either way, its gonna be amazing ! Also, the sub has RCA input right on the sub for my Oppo bluray player, so I can listen to my movies through the speakers as well. I will try them with the SupremeFX IV on my current board, and if I feel I can get better sound out of them, I will add one of the Asus sound cards later on, but right now, my wallet is still trying to recover from the Steam Summer Sale : Anyway, thanks again for all your input everyone. It really IS a very friendly forum, and I will certainly try to contribute to it more in the future (Im an IT Tech myself, so might be able to help someone at some point)
  4. Thumbs up to BlueScreenVIew. I use it a lot when I try to help people with BSOD´s. Its just so much easier as it points you to the specific .dll/driver thats causing the problem, and making it so much easier to narrow down the problem. Here is a link. Download links are at the bottom of the page: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
  5. Thank for the input everyone. Im still not decided about the Corsairs or the Klipschs, but I think the size of the sub might throw me off the Corsairs. I almost cant fit that beast under my desk . But they still get really great reviews, so it might just be a coin toss in the end, and I will just need to make some kind of stand under my desk so I could actually fit my feet there too. Anyone have any thoughts about the sound card thing ? Shouldnt the on board SupremeFX IV be good enough to run either system ?
  6. Thanks a lot, SKOONJar. If you dont mind, I had a few questions: About the connections. I know there are headphone jack and another jack input on the one speaker, but where is the main jack located ? I mean the green jack that connects to the PC one end, and the speaker system in the other end. If I understand it correctly, there is only 2 inputs (the jacks), and no possibility to plug anything else in like say red/white RCS plugs. Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it :
  7. As far as I know, my card (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_V_FORMULA/) has a high quality sound card on the PCB. At least, thats what I read and saw in reviews by both Linus and Tiny Tom. Im sure addon cards will always be better, but if the onboard one is more than enough, there is no need to get a extra card
  8. Hey everyone Im looking to upgrade my speakers, and I have been looking at the Corsair SP2500 because I hear that both Linus and Slick like them a lot, but im also open for other suggestions in the same quality and price range. I have also looked at the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 system, and I really like the THX certification on them (Im an old HIFi nut with old old THX amps from back in the day), but its not the most important in this case. The speakers will be used for both gaming and movies, and also music, but music is gonna be what they will be used the least for. Also, I was wondering if the built on soundcard on my Asus Maximux V Formula (The non-ThunderFX addon version) was considered good enough to use with hogher end speakers ? Any thoughts on either on these questions will be greatly appreciated
  9. 53 euros spent so far...First item wasnt even a game, but DisplayFusion ! :)
  10. Get the Steam app and buy from there :)
  11. This is gonna be my first Steam Summer sale since I started to use Steam again lately. And going by how many games I have bought lately just from daily and weekend deals, this is gonna be EXPENSIVE ! :) Question: How many of the games you have on Steam do you, or have you actually played ? Im probably in the single digit area, but I also still only have about 20 games :)
