You seem pretty smart so i'm going to trust you on this one, the only problem is that the board looks kinda ugly, the gold accents aren't that intrusive though, Thanks for all your help!
On the one you reccomended before was 4 pin sorry, http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97mg43.
I'm really confused but you sound like you are good at this kind of thing
Sorry im pretty new to this, i had someone else explain that since it had a 8 pin cpu header compared to a 6 pin on the msi i would be able to overclock more, so if you could elaborate i'd really appreciate it
This build has been a hastle for me, with two parts i ordered having to be returned because i'm dumb, 3 posts later and i would like your critiques http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/6tXDvK I know it says the gpu wont fit but i have seen builds with the same case and card and it fits just fine.
Ah the compatibility filter was on, I don't know if a 240 rad will fit with that gpu though so i might just go with a 120mm rad ( one of the builds you showed me has a 240 rad but it looks incredibly close) Thanks for you help
I think i might just go with the 970 to be safe but I can't seem to find a standard sized gigabyte 970 in Canada, so you know which other ones would fit?
The 390 takes up a lot of power at load, i don't know if my power supply would be enough. It looks like its at around 450 at load plus an overclocked 4960k would be apparently 100ish watts. I don't know if the system would be able to handle that.
Yeah sorry I forgot to put a h100i in the partlist, i was more worried on how much wattage it would consume, and if my psu would be enough to power it all
So i found my way into a little more money for my build, i already bought the psu and some other parts, (RAM, case). Simple question will i be able to get a decent overclock with this. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/vdsDvK
So i bought a cx500 then returned it because I calculated that it would not supply enough power to really overclock it, So what would you guys recommend in terms of a power supply ~550-750 Watts. Also strange request I kinda need one with a flat cpu header, the corsair air240 i am going to use has a passthough that needs flat cables. Thanks in advance!
edit: sorry i thought i put the partpicker link in http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/qjLcsY
