The way I played it off was this, guy comes to me with an old p4 in a beige case, its atx so I throw it in a $30 cooler master case, 4 gigs of ram. a cheap pci-e gt 620 gpu. And a $60 low capacity ssd. Suddenly with ubuntu its like a whole new computer. he was glad to pay $200

Not 2001, 2006, you have a canon rebel xt according to your metadata. In 2001 the only digital slrs on the market worth using were ridiculously expensive like the canon eos 1d (assuming you bought it new that year because your like made of money then you would of been shooting on the even older canon d2000 monster) or the nikon d1h both of which were less than 2.5mp. To put this into perspective in 2006 Avril lavigne did a commercial for canon holding the camera you had in 2001 (because your made of magic )

This image was done with a fricking rock, I didn't have my tripod with me at the time and boy would i of killed for some playdough My current tripod is a $400 giant ass fluidhead made of steel for supporting a xl1 with giant ass lens.
