What's your full specs? Sounds like a dead pump in your H100i. I'd consider six years to be pretty decent for an AIO tbh, but if you're looking to try something different I'd probably recommend the NH-D15.

My H100i Platinum died after 1.5 years. Yours went pretty good tbh.
In my opinion, get an air cooler or do custom loop. AIOs are not worth it

Over many years I've gone from a 1680x1050 60Hz TV to a 1080p 120hz monitor to a 1080p 144hz monitor to now having a 1440p 165hz G-Sync monitor, I also sometimes play on a 4K TV that's next to my PC desk. The jump from 60hz to 120hz (or 144hz as it seems to be more common now) is definitely the most significant change over going for a 1440p monitor. You can pump out a ton of frames and it's oh so buttery smooth on the gear you already have. 1440p is great but with the premium price of a 'good' 1440p screen (a fast and good picture) you also then need a better GPU on top of that or else you're stuck at lower framerates with lower graphical settings just to keep up to the framerate you're used to on your current setup.

I'd honestly recommend going for the best monitor in your budget that's 1080p at 120hz or 144hz with the nicest picture. I'd strongly recommend a BenQ as imo they make the best looking and best performing monitors and are a very reputable brand.

    Good luck on your search!

i have experienced 1080 and 4k (my m8 has a 4k rig and were really good friends)
depends see if you play comp games like cs or games that are not at all casualy the 144hz is just so goooooooooooooood but 4k is more for casual gamers who dont care for fps or 144hz

For 750W 16AWG is pretty standard if you want 14AWG isn't bad if it's only a bit more, it doesn't hurt especially if it's a long power cable.

EDIT: 18AWG will be able to sustain 750W though since an 18AWG wire can take a max of 7Amps, @120V, that would be approx 840W that cable can handle safely.

Yep, still rocking my 2500k @4.8Ghz... won't need to upgrade for a while. Broadwell looks like it's following the same trend as the last three generations so I would also wait till Skylake/Cannonlake as well.

yes 450W is good enough for your current system and is good enough for the gtx960 upgrade. The gtx900 series gpu are very power efficient and it probably uses same amount of power as your HD7750 or less

I would say wait on both. I think your current system seems well balanced, and should handle most games at 1080p no problem.
What games or things are you trying to do, that requires an upgrade now?

you should still be able to run it on high with a few mods and have a decent experience. just dont go too crazy on the mods. The only bottle neck would be your cpu for streaming. But you will just have to test it out. You picked wonderful parts for a budget pc. It for sure beats both the ps4 and xboxone in specs.

Tim is a tech blogger, and an awesome guy. He gets my endorsement.

This statement alone should be enough for you to head over to this link and subscribe to his channel.

    Not good enough for you?

I guess we can sweeten the pie. Tim has GENEROUSLY contributed from his own pocket, a Corsair 900D to give away to his subscribers, BUT with a catch. They HAVE to be a member of the Linus Tech Tips forum. I think it's awesome that he's driving more members to join this awesome community. Here's his video annoucement of the giveaway:

The winner will be picked by Tim on June 30th, and then he'll be checking in with me to make sure that that individual IS who they said they were, and was ALREADY a member of the Linus Tech Tips forum before the prize will be shipped.

Unfortunately due to the weight of the prize (it would cost more than the price of the case for Tim to ship it overseas) this giveaway is US/Canada only.

So take action! Since you are reading this, you probably already know how awesome our forum is and you're probably already signed up, but there's a good chance you're not subscribed to Tim on YouTube. Here's that link again: http://www.youtube.com/user/TimmyTechTV?feature=watch

    And good luck!

    SPONSOR MESSAGE (please read)

HTC has been making massive waves with their HTC One Android smartphone, and while unfortunately we are not able to bring you any HTC Ones in this giveaway, the available options are absolutely rockin'. My wife has been using a DROID DNA for quite a while now, and with its S4 Pro processor and gorgeous 1080p screen it is a head-turner in spite of, or perhaps BECAUSE of the fact that most people don't recognize exactly what phone it is, particularly here in Canada.

TLDR: HUGE thanks to HTC for making this giveaway possible. You guys freakin' rock and the support you're showing for our brand new community is overwhelming!

Guys, this is one of the biggest giveaways we've ever done. HTC is making it all possible by providing us with not one, not two, not three, not four... Oh wait actually four.

This is a Linus Tech Tips giveaway, so I'm keeping it "unofficial" and opening it up to the world. With that said HTC is going to cover helping me ship TWO of the phone globally, while the other two will only be shipped to the USA only. We will draw four winners and in a case where more than 2 winners are outside of the USA will we re-draw.

Now for the really cool part. You actually get to PICK the phone you want from the list of available phones! With that said, the phones available in the different regions vary a little bit.

Prizes: 4 HTC smartphones with a "pick your prize" approach!

USA winners can pick between the following:

    DROID DNA

I say you try both the blacks and browns down at your local retail shop like NCIX or a Microcenter. We can sit here telling you all about how they feel when we game with them or type with them but it's all preference. You have to experience the different key switched before you decide.
