  1. ahh yep.. your right this post will now be deleted :)
  2. see first comment this has already been done my a dum dum. It might have already been suggested or even covered but This is an idea ive been playing around with for a while... I have always wondered with unRaid how you can have multiple vms run from one pc - doing something along the lines of a one pc dual pc live streaming setup. The concept would be that you have one pc and either two or three monitors, (that being two or three vms running) having one vm for working with obs or a streaming program and the other gaming, see if there is any issues with running something like that. I feel like it would be a cool project to cover because they have used unRaid for many gamers on one cpu but running a full dual pc streaming rig on a small/medium footprint single pc imagine how it would work.
  3. sorry to bring up a dead horse, although I am wondering what would be the best course of action! I have a hankering to build a computer although not take mine apart and put it back together. I am wondering what should I do since my i7 2700k is clocked at 4.8/9 with turbo on and had reached according to HW monitor 5.6 Ghz max clock and max temps on the cpu around 80-90c at a push and depending if England is experiencing a heat wave, so I don't really want to change my cpu out since it is going belting what would you guys say is the top amd/nvidia gpu I could get without experiencing some sort of cpu bottleneck anything over like 5%-10% performance loss over a new pc build? FYI my pc is i7 2700k, cooler Noctua NH-D14, 24GB ddr3 1600 Mhz (running at 1333 Mhz cpu limited), Zotac GTX 590, Hdds, ssds, ect... I only intend to game on my pc, web surf, office work, light 720p streaming & light photoshoping.

  5. I think you my good friend have the best idea the main point is to be a plug & play thing that can last a few years like 2-3 starting with a amd7770 gpu and maybe far down the line (3-4 years or so) upgrade the extras like the gpu or the hdd when ssd's become something viable!
  6. @91wow @WoodenMarker ok thanks for that info but i feel that an ssd is not worth it yet (bit too expensive imo) and i think a standard hdd will sufice for her @Kayn would this ram be ok then at 8gb?? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-Series-2133MHz-Desktop/dp/B00A77204K/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1388564451&sr=1-1&keywords=8gb+2133+Mhz
  7. @Birdman to be fair i am going to add a amd 7770 (side note: will thiws work with the virtual crossfire? the gpu and the apu?) as a surprise for her also @Kayn what kind of ram would you recommend cause i don't wan't to break the bank plus i have gone on ebuyer and found a better 80+ 450w psu one thing i would also like to add as a side not if this can perform as good as an xbox 360 maybe about or in between an xbox 360 - xbone that would be brill for her
  8. Hi guys i have created a build kinda for my gf and want to see if this is ok for what she wants all this pc will be used for is general gaming i.e. medium to high on games from 2011-2012 and also for doing general office application / photoshop stuff for her college work preferably a apu based build.and also the average fps / performance she would like from this is about 40 - 60 on games i.e. sanctum, gmod, saints row 3, minecraft, un-modded skyrim on a medium preset my max budget is about £350 - £360 no more that that though this is including a hdd and a copy of windows. case: http://www.ebuyer.com/392377-coolermaster-elite-120-mini-itx-case-rc-120a-kkn1 psu: http://www.ebuyer.com/255691-cit-450w-power-supply-gold-12cm-24pin-sata-model-450u-psucit450ugold motherboard: http://www.i-store-online.com/product_info.php?currency=GBP&language=en&info=p170597_asrock-fm2a75m-itx-r2-0-amd-a75--hudson-d3--mini-itx-1x-pcie-x16----.html processor: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Edition-3-6GHZ-HD6570-Socket/dp/B0095VPAVE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388553509&sr=8-1&keywords=amd+a8 Ram: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-KHX16C10B1RK2-16X-1600MHz-HyperX/dp/B008XQ95FY/ref=sr_1_18?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1388557692&sr=1-18&keywords=16gb+ram (she wanted speedy speedy) generic usb wifi antenna high gain (£15) windows 7:http://www.oem-warehouse.co.uk/index.aspx?pageid=2259452&prodid=11221395&gs=1 hdd: generic 500gb segate or wd hdd dvd drive: i have one to spare. for the monitors and keyboard we will look into that after we make the pc cause i have some of those spare she can have hopefully this makes any sense to you all many thanks David. Edit: Is there anything i could do with the motherboard / CPU (APU) to make my build cheaper yet perform just as good if i go for a dedicated gpu??
  9. last thing i will not be doing anything with editing i will only just be playing video games from like 2011 ish like saints row 3 i will upgrade the ram yes all i rely need is a good motherboard to fit my LGA 1155 with 2 x16 pci-e slots and a good modular psu to allow for the 2 660ti's
  10. Also can i just note to this "http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1P5g5" you have just built me a pc which is what i did not request i have most of the parts i just need some new bits to remake my pc for incorporate 2 660ti's so to your pc picker thing i say no cause i already got the, cpu and fan, i got the ram (will use the ram i got now) i don't want to spend £70 odd on a ssd i have 2 500gb hdd's and a 1tb one so have no need for the ssd and hdd the power supply is too expensive i don't want to spend £125 on a psu i was thinking of something like £50 and the case cheaper?? I have no interest in over clocking as i said i am pc noob and rely don't care about all the oc's
  11. Well what is wrong i am kind of a pc build noob i can put it together physically but not planning it so just telling my to get an fx8350 all these numbers mean nothing i don't want to spend tons of money i am getting the gpu's SOON and as i said i want to go CHEAP and cheerful as i said i can spend a bit though not something like 600 - 800 euro (I work in £££ cause BRITISH) Thanks again David
  12. Hi guys I am going to be building a new pc at some point soon my budget is about £250 cause i have already got the gpu sorted found a good deal on 2 evga 660ti cards listed below is a amazon wishlist of mine that contains the kind of thing i would be looking for http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/32VCIYQ6OV147 aobut 4gb ram will do an 700w psu (preferably modular with 4 6pin (pci-e) slots) *Cough* never used a modular psu before *Cough* though if you can find a decent one that will support TWO 660ti's that would be sweet (not to sure about how much power they need too many forums say other things) the case as well if you can find one cheaper that the cooler master one i have listed that would be great since when i have been looking i can see a few but they don't state that it will fit an itx motherboard which is that i would prefer since i will save some money and get the atx mb later on for the motherboard as stated above i will get one at a later date if i can budget for it though i would like it if possible to be an atx with 2 x16 pcie slots on a LGA 1155 processing unit (intel I5). basically i am looking for something cheap and cheerful that dose the job, won't explode and break my budget that will enable me to incorporate the 2 660ti cards. Many thanks David
  13. well when i next get payed i can afford it what is the msi board name?? and is it itx? also i might upgrade to the a8 apu if i can convince someone to get it me :P
