  1. So I've had my 5800X build up for a few days now. It is way hotter than expected unless you undervolt. It is a common issue described all over forums and reddit. I honestly think the safest thing to do to get max performance is to get a 360mm AIO. FYI I'm on a Dark Rock Pro 4, and it was hitting 90C stock settings because of precision boost 2. The voltage was also pretty crazy at 1.4V+ Let me know how your setup fairs! I would love to have more data points. Thanks!
  2. Honestly, I would wait for the Ryzen 5 5600X to become more available before you upgrade. This way you can get PCI-E 4.0 support on B550 or X570, and you'll get the best single core performance currently on the market. Also B550 boards have gotten cheaper recently, especially compared to Intel.
  3. Is gtx 1070 still good or do i need an update, can still run my games on high/medium with good fps but more demanding games like ark, call of duty MW its like 60 frames max on medium to high settings.

i just need to know if its good still?

Hey Totte24, I think the GTX 1070 is still a good card. It has been solid since the day it released. It honestly depends on your monitor. I am currently on a 1440P 165Hz screen. I think for 1440P high FPS at very high or max settings the 3080 is the one to go for. If you're still running a 1080P 60Hz screen I would just wait it out. If you are going to go for a 30 series card, I would also upgrade your monitor to 1440P 144+Hz to take advantage of these new card's power.

Right now stock numbers are too low on the 30xx cards. I would just wait until they're discounted to buy.

  4. I was able to buy one (Gigabyte Vision OC) on Newegg last Friday. The trick is to follow some of the twitter bot accounts with notifications so you get alerted if there's a drop. In order to check out fast, I recommend using ApplePay on the Newegg app, which is what I did.
  5. Thanks for the cool giveaway! If I had a ZBox, I would use it as the dorm room console PC. Hook it up to a TV and have it run FIFA, Netflix, etc. It would be a pretty sweet addition to the room for sure!
  6. Most of us hardware enthusiast don't hate miners, but we do hate the fact that our products (that are marketed towards us) are used in mining, which is not what these cards are designed for in the first place. I wish that people would realize this and go out and buy mining cards or miner cube things instead of our glorious gaming GPUs. I hope the price situation will change soon I hope your prediction of price reductions is accurate.
  7. More price increase for no good reason... People need to stop mining with gaming cards and get proper mining gear instead.
  8. Peasants were usually bound by a contract to their landlord, requiring them to pay a certain amount of their harvest as rent. HAHAHAHA This was for a history research project
  9. I bought my GTX 780 DCUII OC for 805$ usd
  10. Hey guys! I've been trying to use my 3D vision 2 glasses on my PC. I got the glasses from my laptop and I do not have a emitter for the desktop... My question is: Is it possible to run it on a usb connection? Thanks in advance ~ Joe
  11. Thank you! It seems like I have tried most of the things besides trying a new PSU... I have a V850... I would be very surpised if it is where the problem is.
  12. Yeahh hahaha It is plugged in but it just doenst wanna work.
