Thanks. Many years ago I was a network engineer so I have the old tools laying around. I engaged my brain and realized I probably didn't need to ask to begin with Do appreciate your help though.

Hey, Can anyone advise me on a decent Office chair to get? Something that will last, preferably not mesh but the PU/bonded leather? Theres so many online with good reviews that might or might not be trustworthy. I WFH in the day and use it some evenings. Im average 177cm and 90kg. Thanks J

Well im getting a clean 80mb throughput on the internet which is all i get anyway. I guess if i get faster internet it will max out around the 100mb as im not running full cat5, which is a problem for future me. Internal network is all wifi to TV's, laptops etc etc.

Thanks everyone for the help. Its basically fiber in, ethernet over that ADSL line with the 3 twisted pairs, into router in my office. Its only an 80down 20up internet speed. Im running a server, my PC and a NAS through the router/switches. Hence the need for physical cabling up here. Speed test is all good.

It's only going maybe 10m in the wall but a real pain in the ass to run a new one under carpet through several doorways and 2 sets of stairs. Not possible to run a new one in its place either. I'd just like to know the pin out to wire it in. I've already bought the stuff to do it.
-
I should have mentioned this isn't possible. It was put in while the house was being built and is quite firmly stuck, probably plastered in place.

Hey Asking for some advice on wiring. I have an old adsl extension line in the wall with 3 twisted pairs only. How and can I convert this to work with a standard Ethernet connection? I have the faceplates already. Thanks in advance. J

Sorry! Links are below. https://www.comms-express.com/products/2x-rj45-cat5e-modules-in-singlegang-faceplate/ https://www.comms-express.com/products/4x-rj45-cat5e-modules-in-doublegang-faceplate/ https://www.comms-express.com/products/double-gang-surface-mount-back-box-37mm/ https://www.comms-express.com/products/single-gang-surface-mount-back-box-32mm/ Plus a couple of images of what I mean (not my images just found randomly online). I just dont want the boxes sticking out of the wall. Not Keystones Image 1 is what I DONT want Image 2 is what I'm after. Is this achieved by making a hole in the wal and putting the unit in? Is there something other than a Surface Mount Back Box?

This is a kind of dual topic. I'm looking for a good quality TV&Soundbar setup that work together (as in dont want seperate remote to control sound, is that ARC?) for around £750 Theres so many choices out there. 55" would be ideal, 4k, HDR etc. Does the soundbar need to match the TV in brand for this to work? Thanks

Hi All, I am having zero luck finding products that show they will sit flush to the wall when I install them, like power sockets do... All I can see to get is faceplace& Modules and surface mount backboxes, not in-wall ones?? Am i being stupid and missing something? Attached is my planned comms express order. Help!

Yes that does seem unlikely it won't fit off the shelf parts for DIY but they can use their own?? Its a shame but I've got my eye on the NR200P now as an alt. Might wait for next gen to come out however. DDR5 is now on pre-order, 4000 series Nvidia and then Intel/AMD options

Yes looks to be a US company. Thats OK, I will find something else! Its perfect but with shipping and import tax could be cheaper to fly over and bring one back with me. Thanks for your help

Does this mean its not possible to buy just the case in the EU/UK?

Does anyone know what case is on the desk with James? If anyone has the answer id be eternally grateful!
