  1. On a serious note, I don't think you are. I think that everyone is entitled to living out their life how they wish, and no matter how much I disagree with someone I will always respect their right to their opinion as long as nobody is getting hurt. Anyways, I'm not going to talk about religion in this thread because that's just going to divide people (and I would suggest everyone else do the same)
  2. is people being happy some kind of extremeo liberal communist concept now or ... ?
  3. I like programming, graphic design, theatre, metalworking, and dick. What can i say?
  4. the fact that it loads windows at all is a good sign - you can probably get most of your files off of it but there's no way to be sure. Try plugging the hard drive into another computer or something
  5. different ways of accomplishing the same things
  6. OS X is my OS of choice but honestly unless you want to use Final Cut there's not going to be that much of a difference.
  7. I use OS X for web development because it's reliable and Unix based so apache runs natively. If I'm writing C/C++ I use Windows. I haven't used Linux in a pretty long time because since I started running OS X I just don't have a need for it anymore. The platform you should use should really depend on the platform you want to target. If you're willing to pay the price premium, I would suggest getting a Mac because you can run Windows, OS X, and Linux on the same machine. Keep in mind that if you ever want to make a native OS X or iOS app, you're going to need a Mac.
  8. There's no point. OS X having touch support would just require developers to redesign their apps. OS X and iOS already share the same kernel and most of the same core frameworks, so tailoring a professional app to be touch based for OS X and iOS wouldn't be that different. Also it wouldn't make sense to have an ARM version of OS X because that would just fragment everything. Theoretically a developer updating their OS X app for touch and porting it to ARM would be just as difficult as porting it to iOS. sorry if this has already been said but i can't read 11 pages of a thread :\
  9. honestly the new apple tv UI is the best looking UI i've seen in a long time

  10. i can confirm that HP laptops suck. The one I had was not cheap and it got so hot you could probably fry an egg on it. Constant blue screens. Chassis practically fell apart after two years of use
  11. I really like Elementary OS tbh. Probably because I'm a Mac user though
  12. i did but all i had were these really thick CD cases and a really dull knife so it hurt my hand and took forever. Also I learned that you don't need to make four of them, the hologram effect is literally just the reflection of the screen on the side of the prism that you're viewing. You can make just one side of it and it'll be exactly the same.
  13. 99.9% sure. The only thing that could really stop it is if Luke has a problem with them. I can't speak for anyone, but I think Luke will like these
  14. They look really good! However if we are going to use them we would need greyed-out versions of all of the icons too. (for when a forum is marked as read) If you can get that done we'll be set
  15. I got bored and decided to skim over parts of this, mainly the parts about how unlocking and locking an iOS device works. It turns out that a lot of processes on an iOS device that seem extremely simple to the user with smooth, flashy animations, like unlocking and locking the device, are actually fairly complex. Especially with Touch ID in the mix. https://www.apple.com/business/docs/iOS_Security_Guide.pdf A lot of people criticize Apple for trying to fix jailbreaks and stuff, but I think their security is pretty awesome tbh. It feels good knowing that it's getting extremely difficult (and with iOS 9, practically impossible thanks to rootless) for people to get unauthorized access to stuff on my phone.
  16. THIS since I learned to program in PHP I never want to program in anything else it's such a flexible language and you constantly learn new ways to make stuff easier and more elegant
  17. Console games run at a locked framerate but if your PC is running a game at 30 fps chances are that it will dip and go under 30 quite often.
  18. never really got into it, but to be fair the only mobile game I've ever really gotten into is Monument Valley (that game rocks btw)
  19. I would try doing the windows repair thing (insert your install drive and it's somewhere on there) if that doesn't work it seems like you need to reinstall
  20. hey because then I don't even need to think about its name "hey get me a drink" "hey get off yr ass and get a job" see it's simple
