  1. I guess I'll add one more question I feel like I'll be fine but Rise of the Tomb Raider does almost max my cpu cores. Will my 3770k 4.5GHz play nice with a 1080Ti or is it time for Kaby Lake 7770k too.
  2. We might get some info at CES on volta. I bet Navi is very far off hopefully thread ripper gets amd some funds to crush nvidia next time though I doubt it.
  3. Yeah or I guess wait another year. (not 4k fast I can play Black Mesa though) Funny Avatar
  4. Yeah especially when it comes to tech, I love this monitor and I paid a 1/4 of the price of 4k displays at the time so it wasn't a huge issue.
  5. I can hit 1440 in a lot of stuff but I sick of messing with Crossfire and I want to play witcher 3 in 4k.
  6. I have a dilemma I bought a 4k freesync display back in 2015 on the idea that vega was going to kill Damn marketing charts (everyone remembers that chart) Anyway I currently have 7970's crossfire. So no freesync, I have never seen freesync in action I would like to get the new rx 64 vega because of freesync. But the performance was lack luster is it worth having the freesync or should I get a 1080 Ti and actually run games at 4k 60 fps. Pcper notes the freesync window of this diplay is 42-60 fps. Now I hate tearing I run Vsync most of the time and I would rather be able to hit 4k 60 in lets say gta V. Or should I wait for Volta and Navi is freesync that cool. Linus if you know if Nvidia will support freesync in the future it would really help me make up my mind tell us Tom Peterson.
  7. Every cheap ATI card I bought off the Best Buy shelf and crammed into my Compaq in the late 90's and early 00's only based on the MB's of Vram it had I knew nothing back then.
  8. It is much faster than a non ratcheting one without using a power driver.
  9. I am a professional Automotive Technician nothing beats Snap-On but hefty price. I used to only buy off the tool truck until I started working with some really cheap people and found a company called Gear Wrench they make all the basic had tools and they have the same look and feel as Snap-On. I have been using them in a extreme professional environment and never had an issue with the quality. Check out this driver KDT82788 I don't use it often on PC'S but one time when I did I could barely reach the MOBO mounting screws near my hyper 212 evo but a simple longer phillips bit would have solved the issue. I have not used this particular driver I just noticed when searching for the Part Number this one has an led light in it. I have its little brother KDT82781 and love it.
  10. I just did a clean install of windows 10 64 bit. Do I need to install all my drivers like in the old days like chipset, usb, ect or am I good to go?
  11. I really don't want to deal with that. I have had no problem with installing both Windows installs on different Hard Drives but I have to switch the boot drive in the Bios to load one or the other. I want to use the more elegant solution where windows 10 loads buy default or I can load windows 7 on the boot select screen.
  12. I am a noob to dual booting, I am having problems with it. I want the os selection screen to work I don't want to have to go into the BIOS to select boot drive. I will go step by step with my installation process and hopefully I am missing a simple step that can resolve this issue. 1. I am disconnecting all my hard drives except my 3 TB hard drive which I want to have my Windows 7 install on. 2. Install windows 7 from cd 3. Connect 1 TB SSD and install windows 10 from usb drive. Now when I try to load Windows 7 I get this error screen Windows 10 works fine file: \windows\system32\winload.efi status: 0xc0000428 Info: digital signature for this file not verified I will post a picture soon.
  13. My ssd came with a migration tool did use it since I clean installed and wiped my old drive just saved my important files.
