  1. +1. Auto include it and forgo it for a discount if people really care that much. I'd rather not have the clutter and e-waste, personally.
  2. Mad props to Steve for his coverage. Mad props to Linus for not at all inhibiting Luke's ability to speak his mind, and for speaking his own (even though I suppose I disagree, all arguments considered... not that I felt too strongly about this to begin with). Mad props to Luke for being 100% based.
  3. Anyone who's seen 'Die Another Day' knows this is a bad idea
  4. Hello everyone, Over a year into working from home now, I'm using the same LG 34UC79G-B ultrawide display for both work and play. Everyday in the morning I switch my input from my desktop DisplayPort to work laptop HDMI via the little joystick on the bottom of my monitor. Unfortunately, we're now at the point where the joystick will no longer bring up the service menu to change inputs reliably (either it does nothing or mistakenly believes I am trying to adjust my volume which is a left-right toggle rather than a center press). I bought a KVM switch to avoid this whole mess but now I am regularly getting black screen flickering despite 1) this being a Displayport 2.1 KVM switch 2) Using Displayport 2.1+ cables. The KVM otherwise works flawlessly (gsync works, getting 144hz, etc). Not sure what to do or even try! Monitor: LG 34UC79G-B Vidya card: EVGA 1080ti FTW3 KVM: Monoprice 4K 2-Port DisplayPort 1.2A
  5. I was always sort of mystified by why someone would pay for LastPass in their existing (soon to be old) business model. I love the service though, very convenient, will pay for it. Open to other options that are just as polished though. If Microsoft's Autofill matures and becomes a proper replacement for LastPass, I'll probably switch since it'd be free.
  6. The forum comments were so much nicer to thumb through than the comments on Floatplane. People bring more of themselves to the forums in terms of signature, profile pictures, etc. Just has a different, better feel to it.
  7. https://venturebeat.com/2019/02/01/apple-will-reportedly-store-russian-user-data-locally-possibly-decrypt-on-request/ "Laws in Russia have mandated since 2014 that Apple store Russian citizens’ user data within the country, but the company has apparently dodged the requirement — until now. According to a Foreign Policy report (via AppleInsider), Russia’s telecommunications and media agency Roskomnadzor has confirmed that Apple will comply with the local data storage law, which appears to have major implications for the company’s privacy initiatives."
  8. This is a huge loss, not only for his fans but for gamers in general. He was a huge customer advocate.
  9. Seems spooky, looking forward to hearing about it on the Wan Show if it gets confirmed as legit.
  10. I just used it. Still waiting for access but it's only been about 5mins.
