I sent that to my buddy who was just learning how to play Starcraft 2. I told him it was him.

Baxterz reacted to LinusTech in why linus dosent do review?
Reviews were never really the foundation of Linus Tech Tips. In the beginning NCIX Tech Tips was intended for the in-depth coverage of products, while Linus Tech Tips was the channel where I could quickly film the process of opening the box in preparation for making the real content.

In time we realized that unboxings were actually more popular and for the majority of our viewers they contained all of the information they wanted out of a video anyway, so we focused on those.

The cold hard truth is that a video review can never contain the same in-depth coverage as a well done text article, so rather than try to compete directly with reviews, we make content that supplements reviews, which often don't contain a good look at the product and the things in the box.

We also don't just do some glam footage, however. We seek to give some real information about the product, category, or the market condition to go along with the unboxing. I believe this sets our unboxing videos apart from others. It's a middle ground for people who want to learn a bit about the product and see it up close. If they're really interested in buying it they can go read some user reviews or professional reviews, or post about it on the forum here, and if they watch the video and they're not interested in it, then they don't have to do that follow up because they already have a solid general idea of what it's like.

I'm not sure I'd be able to switch to that. The WASD keys are way to spread out for me.

Totally agree with you. SSD is one of the best upgrades you can make to your PC. Once I installed one in mine almost had a heart attack on how quick Windows booted up.

Baxterz reacted to EChondo in Nvidia or AMD and driver overview?
If you aren't familiar with AMD's drivers, then you won't know their numbers for new versions.
The drivers listed from new to old are...
-13.2(To be released, next week, beta)
    -13.1(WHQL)
    -12.11(Beta)
    -12.10(WHQL)
    -12.9(Beta)
    -12.8(WHQL)
and so on...every odd number on the 12.X drivers are beta drivers and it looks to be switched on the 13.X drivers. Also, AMD stopped using the 12.X name because it's a new year and 2013, so "13.X" drivers.
As far as driver problems go, I have had a MSI 7870 for some while now, it worked fine until the 12.8 drivers and then I had terrible GPU utilization, but it got fixed with the 12.10 drivers and have been fine ever since. Also, AMD is finally fixing their frame latency issue that the 7000 series has been plagued with, which is coming next week in the 13.2 beta drivers.
Other than that, I love my 7870 and I am actually getting a second one this week for crossfire and testing purposes! Definitely worth it, well, in my eyes :D
Also, to find the most latest drivers, go here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
Just fill in the correct information and it should send you to the latest driver page for that series of GPUs.

7970 would definitely be the best choice for you if your running any multi monitor display at all,l but even then the 7970 is still better then the 680 in my opinion because it has 3GB of VRAM instead of the 680's 2GB of VRAM.

I would say go for the 7970. Not only is it a good overclocker with 3GB of V Ram, it comes with 3 free games that are actually all fun. Or you could wait a couple more months until the 8870 comes out and buy that
