Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Has the H100i the horsepower needed to a bigger loop?
The H100i isn't even meant to be modded. Even the H220, which is designed to have added componentry to the loop, still struggles with just a 680 and a CPU.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in here is my build please give feedback.
It looks good, I'm just not a huge fan of the printer, red lighting and the tilted camera shots.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Funny pictures you have taken yourself.
Mind if I post one that wasn't taken by me

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Geforce 770 work with intel i7 3770?(HELP)
He was just clarifying, not being nitpicky from the sounds of it. It sounds dangerously close to "7770".

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in 7970 crossfire vs 7990 for 1440p
No thanks. Have you seen the reviews?

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in 7970 crossfire vs 7990 for 1440p
The 7990 is $1000 here:
http://ncix.com/search/?categoryid=0&q=7990
and it consistently performs around the same as 7970s in crossfire (under $800), as shown here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7990-review-benchmark,3486-5.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7990-review-benchmark,3486-9.html

It doesn't make sense to get the 7990, under any circumstance

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in 7970 crossfire vs 7990 for 1440p
The horrible value. It costs $200 more, and that's comparing it to the cheapest 7990 I could find. Most go for $1050-1100, so it makes its performance per dollar even worse. Go ahead and play the "lower noise, heat" card, it's not going to save you

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in 7970 crossfire vs 7990 for 1440p
Yeah, that completely justifies spending hundreds of dollars more for a minimum frame rate "improvement". You do realize that the minimum framerate was 59.1 in that graph you ever so kindly shared with us, that's basically the highest that most monitors can even display

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Water cooling help, new gaming rig
He's fine with the price, otherwise I wouldn't have recommended them. They also make that noisy fan on the RIVE unnecessary, cutting out the noisiest part of the system.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Water cooling help, new gaming rig
My point is that he had THAT many of them, so why would he go out to buy the more expensive NF-F12s?
-
Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Reservoir question
He's probably going to be using the 900D though, so space really isn't much of an issue. Plus the fillport's liquid will have a better angle at which to fall down with the Y splitter.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Reservoir question
How is it improved? Links?
It also looks much nicer in my opinion, which is one of the main goals of this build.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Reservoir question
The bend is the opposite direction of the flow, the manifold would have more of a chance to reduce flow from the looks of it.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Redundant pumps or paralell loops?
I'd recommend the single loop with one powerful pump such as the MCP-655 or MCP-35X

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Tips for a guy new to PC gaming
A good mouse, keyboard and a fast monitor are very important. Also, be sure that you have at least 60 frames per second constantly, it'll help you out the most.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Crazy Ideas For Tt And Asus Cpu Coolers
Neither cooler is compatible, unfortunately. However, if you're looking for good looks, I'd recommend the water cooling route. Good luck.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in Good Case Fans
As far as case fans go, you can go with just about anything as long as the aesthetics, noise, and price are acceptable. Check out the Bitfenix Spectre Pros or Noctua NF-A12/A14s, the former is cheaper and great looking while the latter is expensive but outperforms practically anything it competes with.

Geek reacted to Hyydrah in M-itx Case
The Bitfenix Prodigy is probably the best choice of all of them. Tons of colors, mesh panel options and even a windowed side panel is available. Lots of radiator support for its size, as well.
