  1. Idk why you're getting defensive. I said "It's less controversial" to make fun of white people; that's just a fact. I also said "two things can be wrong at the same time," which you left out of your quote. Thanks for that. To the other people who quoted me and decided to make this about white people, I'm not going to bother responding because you've missed the point and are going away from the problem being discussed. The point of my original post was that dbrand is in the wrong for the tweet (which they've now admitted), and Linus is wrong to use prejudice behaviour against one group of people as justification for that behaviour against another group.
  2. Tone deaf, really. Yes, people make fun of conventionally white names; people make fun of white people for a lot of things. The reason why it's less controversial is because white people are not historically or contemporarily oppressed or marginalized for the colour of their skin. Also, two things can be wrong at the same time. Normally I don't really mind the "banter" corporate accounts who interact with everyone casually; the Opera GX account is a good example of this. The problem with dbrand is that they are just unfunny and only go for low-hanging fruit insults, or just call you the F word; there's no substance to their posts. Really just wish they'd get someone actually funny and witty to run the account.
  3. Hello all, I've decided to treat myself to one of the 34" Dell/Alienware QD-OLED displays. Most reviews I've seen have recommended going with the DWF model because it is easier to update the firmware, and the g-sync module isn't worth the price premium to most users. And normally, I would go with the DWF for these reasons. However, I'm conflicted because both models happen to be on sale for the same price right now. At the same price, is there any significant reason not to go with the DW model? I'm hoping someone here has had experience with both and can push me in one direction or the other.
  4. Got it. I didn't realize that's what "new simple volume" meant. Thank you for the help!
  5. Hey so I just did a fresh build with two M.2 SSD's. The 1 TB SSD that I intend to use for storage isn't showing up in my directory, although it does detect it in disk management: https://i.imgur.com/ofhfjUq.png Could anyone please help me troubleshoot this?
  6. Sorry, by poe I was referring to path of exile. I'll edit my OP to clarify.
  7. Hey all, I currently run an i5-7600k @ 4.6GHz and a GTX 1070 FTW with one monitor. They've served me very well with everything I've thrown at them over the last couple years, but recently I've been getting back into Path of Exile and I've been experiencing drops in performance (I have to run the game on the lowest possible settings to avoid frame lag when clearing large groups of enemies). I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 2070 & i5-9600k, but I'm not sure if it's worth the investment. My main concern is that Path of Exile is a bit notorious for not being well optimized, and I'd prefer not to invest a thousand dollars into something that won't bring me any significant improvement. If anyone has experience running Path of Exile and has any advice on what I should look for, or if this is worth the investment at all, I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks! This is my entire current PC if it helps: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Cev/saved/#view=zJRwP6
  8. I've used Vessel a couple of times now, and I'm not sure if I'm missing it or not, but is there not a search function for uploaded videos on a channel?

  10. It's really unfortunate the amount of people who don't seem to understand that you guys aren't leaving YouTube (even though it was clearly stated in the video that you are not.) The fact that the same people seem to believe that the high quality content LMG provides is completely free to produce is equally saddening. I created my account over at Vessel to give it a try, and everything seems to be working smoothly so far. I'd like to echo some of the other user's comments about the lack of an Android app. Since I do a lot of my video watching during commute, I'd very much like to see an app made available in the future. Also, I do not see any options for creating a playlist. Is this something that is going to be implemented in the future, or am I just missing it? One other thing that I've noticed, that is just minor nit-picking mind you, is that links in the video descriptions are not clickable. Overall I think this is an exciting development, and I will continue to support you guys as long as you are producing such excellent content. All the best to LMG going forward!
