  1. So this might be the avr then. I can feel small static shocks when touching the hdmi ports, sometimes I can see a small spark. I tought this is "by design" and not harmful, since its a New avr. (Yamaha) It cant be the bend radius since the cable is fixed in Position and this failure happens after a couple of months
  2. Reviving this old thread How was your experience so far? I am frustrated since I have similar problem and looking for solutions or my mistakes. I am using HDMI for my projector (has to be 10m) and the cable goes from my avr to the back of my living room. In the timespan of 3 years I had to install maybe 3-4 new cables. They all usually break after 6-12months. Tried out different manufacturers. Is it my mistake or can the avr break the electronics? And I am aware of the bending radius. cheers
  3. It will be for "normal" use only. So just gaming and browsing. In what kind of cases will it run hot? I thought so as well, since the cooling pad of the mobo is much thicker and the whole surface of the metal piece is bigger i guess ? thanks for the quick reply
  4. Hey guys I got a question. Who else has gotten him or herself a new M.2 SSD from Corsair? I just got mine and realized with the heatspreader on top of the SSD the heatspreder plate of the mobo (MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi) doesnt fit on top. Solution 1. Leave on the heatspreader of the m.2 ssd -> looks ugly and i have a piece of metal lying around or Solution 2: Remove the heatspreader of the ssd and use the one that comes with the mobo. So has anybody of you already made some expierence with this ssd and is willing to share? im hoping for some replies and will run some thermals soon i guess if it works without the heatspreader of the ssd cheers
  5. The Battery Life and the fact that its covered with your signatures ^.^
  6. What about 2 or 4 gb for 1440p, is there really almost no difference?
  7. Has anoyone seen some 770 4gb benchmarks on 1440p in comparison to the 7970 or 780 etc. (overclocked as well) I currently cannot decide if i should buy myself a 770 or wait another 2 Months until the 9xxx series comes out. cheers
  8. So i was looking at Linus' most recent benchmarks @1440p again and the 7950 was outperforming the new 770 and 680 quite often. It does cost about 100-150Euros less and the biggest FPS gap was like 2fps so for me it seems like there are currently only 2 "reasonable" GPUs out there once the 7950 for about 300 Euros or the 780 wich almost gives me 70-90% more performance (@1440 ofc) for double the price. Or do i miss something and there is a "reason" to buy a 7970 oder 770... i am so confused these days <.<
  9. Personally i would wait for the 4gb version from evga (or ASUS/MSI) if you are planning on playing on 1440p And quick question i should be fine with a Super Flower Golden Green modular 700w, how much room for OCing do i have left? (FX8350 asus sabertooth gen3)
  10. Do i really notice FSAA on 1440p?
  11. According to the benchmarks, the 7950 is suitable for 1440p or am i wrong.
  12. Do you have any idea when the 4gb is going to be released? I know that the most expesive card will last me the longest, but its Value will also decrease the most over the next years
  13. I know the comparison might sound weird, but after seeing the benchmarks in linus' video i thought "wow, the 7950 gives you a really great value", but the benchmark was a stock unit and not an asus direct CU II or EVGA. Now i want to know your optinion, because i am really struggeling and i am thinking about this for days now <.<. Currently i am running a 2600 gt (lol) on a 1280*1024 monitor. I know it sounds weird, but my gaming notebook crashed and now i had to get my old tower and the last parts that i didnt update yet are the GPU and the Monitor. So i am planning to buy a 1440p display and a suitable GPU that will last me 2-3 years until i sell the pc again (probably). So what are your thoughts? I have heard that the 7970 is pretty loud and i am really not a fan ;-) of loud hardware.
  14. Alright, so it wont be the next big thing ;-) And the mobo is slightly overkill or not? Is it worth the extra 80-60 euros.
