I watched quite a lot of game play of it and it looks pretty cool. It's on sale right now for around $7 and it is a daily deal. Although, im not sure if it's worth the money

So I found something interesting written in my science textbook
"The gold on the tips of wires helps improve the transmission of the electric signal from the music player to the headphones"
Isn't this false? Doesn't gold just help against oxidation?

What are you using the mic for? If just talking with friends the modmic is the way to go. Desktop mics tend to pick up more background noise which is kind of annoying for other people as they can hear keyboard presses and mouse clicks. I own a blue yeti so I can confirm this.
