So considering this… Was the 1-2 year lifespan plaguing their past revisions or have you heard this effecting current models? additionally is the performance of these two devices a fair trade or the iPad is still more powerful overall. A 2070 and 10750H is a two and a half year combo and so is the M1 at this point. Thank you for your help!

Honestly I find the workflow of a laptop to be better than an iPad. I can’t say I particularly enjoy trying to use the iPad as a laptop due to the way it handles files and the office suite is limited to the mobile version. Additionally I’d like to practice writing code and can’t say that’s very enjoyable on an iPad. however this point is concerning….

@Falcon1986 While the XR1000 is a fantastic router I wanted to check out the GT-AX6000. Versus.com has a pretty nifty comparison tool which highlights what makes the GT-AX6000 a technically superior router. https://versus.com/en/asus-rog-rapture-gt-ax6000-vs-netgear-nighthawk-pro-gaming-xr1000 I was also interested in flashing Merlin down the line which at this point I have been able to do but it makes no difference to the Upload Speeds I get with this router. I have contacted Asus to troubleshoot but they have not been very helpful. (They have suggested replacing the router but I want to be sure its not a setting within the router) I don't think I should have to put the router that Fios provided in-between this one as the ONT is configured for Ethernet. I have tested it from Speedtest, Fast and Dsl and all of them give me between 600-900 down and 1-30 up which is far below the symmetrical 940/940 I should be receiving.

Has anyone purchased the router featured in this video? I understand it was a sponsored video but I was really excited to try the router and I am unable to get symmetrical speeds with my 1 Gig (900up 900 down) plan through Verizon Fios. Directly from the ONT I am receiving the correct speeds and using my Netgear Nighthawk XR1000 everything is fine so I am pretty disappointed in the router but it has shining reviews. Does anyone have any suggestions for setting up an ASUS Router with Fios. I have tried downgrading the firmware and updating it again, Reseting the router, using a new SSID, different cables and even my old ISP which was Xfinity (Everything is fine using them (1.4g down 50up) so I really don’t know what to do. I have also disabled all QOS and Adaptive Features which is a huge loss considering the router but that didn’t help either. thanks in advance. With this router… Xbox Hardwired gets 1mb up…. Speeds are 500down 10up or worse.

How do I take error logs (Computer Freezes randomly no BSOD)
Coolstrybro replied to Coolstrybro's topic in Troubleshooting
I under-clocked the voltage of the G-Skill Trident X's from its default profile voltage of 1.65 to 1.55 and so far I have not experienced another system freeze. It has only been 12H so I don't know if I have corrected the issue but I will keep you posted. -
How do I take error logs (Computer Freezes randomly no BSOD)

Issue had started around 3 months ago maybe more but I have been dealing with it. I am just getting very much so fed up with the freezing at the worst moments. The latest change..... Left Panel for my Corsair Crystal 570X shattered so I am running the PC without its left panel... *No freezing yet leading me to suspect that the computer may MAY be overheating....* Hyper 212 Evo with two fans pushing air out the back of the case.... Not using the stock fans from the Hyper 212 using two Cougar Vortex HDB fans https://cougargaming.com/products/cooling/vortex_hdb_fan/ .... Maybe the fans are not compatible with the cooler???? Hello, For over 3 months my computer has been experiencing some sort of error which causes the system to freeze completely. I have changed Windows Settings to create a mini dump but since freezing twice today no dump has been created. I would like to request assistance in determining the issue. If someone could recommend a program that will take note of the last error before the freezing occurs so that I may be able to remove or reinstall the driver which is causing the issue or if I must replace the hardware which is causing the issue it would be extremely appreciated and immensely helpful.

Windows 10 Creators Update Boot hangs but later boots
Coolstrybro replied to Coolstrybro's topic in Windows
I did not unplug all the other drives while clean installing Windows, I did however delete all the partitions on the SSD while clean installing... =( -Uh Oh.... -
Hello Forum, I have been experiencing an issue with my PC where the computer hangs at the Windows Logo for almost a minute straight to later boot into the OS. I have a Samsung 850 Evo as the primary boot drive so this happening is extremely wild. If anyone has a suggestion to fix this issue that would be fantastic because I don't believe I purchased this SSD to experience boot speeds like these and this is after a fresh installation of Windows 10.
