Not an entirely big deal to be honest...

PGA makes motherboards cheaper to manufacture and pins are easier to bend back.

Hope we get a 1060 Ti - the 660 Ti was the best value card of it's generation - a 960 Ti would have also been a welcome sight

I mean, how does the demolition company not take steps to double and triple check that they are destroying the right house?  I would think verifying that you have the right house would be a top priority for them.

    Here's an article

Good news all emulator lovers! CEMU, the Wii U emulator can now run not one, not two, but multiple games so far at very impressive speed! There's graphical issues still, but this is incredible progress! The CEMU team can now measure performance in FPS rather than SPF

As far as I know, this marks a significant step in the emulator world, so this is tech news I guess? Move it into console gaming if this doesn't belong here, sorry mods!

The 1.4.0 build is available for patreons only for now, it'll be available for the public soon. Patreon people get builds early, so go donate if you want it now! Or donate either way, the team behind Cemu is friggin awesome!

Personally very excited for this, perhaps in just a year or two, we'll be able to run Wii U games at 4k with enchanced graphics! What do you guys think?

the thing is that "anonymous" isnt a "group" in the sense we know it.

both us and them have no way to confirm or deny this person is part of "anonymous" because that term means it is a hacker that operates without the necessity to take credit. theres sure as hell some dang good hackers operating under the "anonymous" banner, theres just also no way to stop the script kiddies from joining in as well.

i guess in the end its just that lizard derps' member list probably got full, so the idiots that want a bigger e-peen now have to look elsewhere.

Common_Courtesy reacted to Blake in Dark Souls III 60FPS confirmed by developer twitter.
There where no contradictory reports. Here is what happened:
    1. some random person asks email tech support if the game will run at 60fps.
    2. Tech support 'seems' like they might have the ear of the dev's but you'd only think so if you didn't know how expendable tech support is compared to server ops / devops /pure dev. Tech support is talking out their ass and 'says' 30 fps.
    3. random person posts to /r/pcmr
    4. /r/pcmr overreacts as it's a giant circle jerk, claims of canceling pre-orders etc ensue, mass hysteria.
    5. smart people realise that this is a non-story, and every previous game indicates 60fps is possible/probable on pc release. these voices of reason and logic are quickly drowned out by /r/pcmr circle jerking.
    6. developer has to step in and say 'seriously? 60fps will be supported, what you smoking? i want some.'
    7. /r/pcmr moves onto the next circle jerk.

What I fail to comprehend is that PC users can't download and store the video, and yet Xbox One users can.

HOW DOES THAT EVEN BEGIN TO MAKE SENSE?! Even if it is 4K, 1080P still looks good on a 4K display, and most people who are wanting this game have the hard drive space to store the video anyway, and if they don't, they can either get an extra hard drive or clear out some space on the drive.

Common_Courtesy reacted to ChineseChef in Solar freaking roadways! - 621 miles to be built in France.
I am really glad someone is doing this.  Because after they do it, we can see how much it costs, how much it actually produces, how much it actually breaks.  We can see real world results, not the white board warriors from both sides arguing over if it is a good idea.  We can get the real truth, assuming no one designs it to fail or fudges the numbers to make it look good (I mean, no one does that when money is involved right?)

Personally I think it is an absolutely stupid idea, just make dedicated space for roads, like we already have.  And then also make dedicated space for solar panels.  That way each one only has to be designed to be good at one thing.  But I am glad someone is actually doing it.  So we can see who is truly correct.  I am more than willing to be proven wrong, and this is finally a chance for the solar roadways crowd to get their chance to be proven idiots, or show us how wrong we all are.

Common_Courtesy reacted to Davehaslanded in UK Government to force all online porn users to identify themselves
Wow there is some really anti UK sentiment in here. So a few things to make clear:

    1. Yes we have a Tory government that is generally run my old fuddy duddys that dont understand technology.

    2. Yes a stupid porn law was introduced last year regarding porn, however it only affects porn 'made' in the UK. I can assure you that it's still very much accessible from the UK. As for those saying that we role over and take things, search YouTube for Parliment BDSM protest. People staged a 'facesitting' outside Parliment.

    3. I don't pretend to fully understand UK law making, but from our point of view, it seems far worse (with stories of awful laws being pinned onto seemingly innocent laws to sneak them past the public'.
Min the UK, a bill must be written, then put forward for review, it has to be voted in by a majority of MPs made up of 3 or 4 parties. It then has to be voted in by the House of Lords, before finally being signed off by the crown.

    4. Not sure why the UK has been portrayed as a religious pin up country. We may be historically Religious (church of England, not catholic) however, church numbers are lower than ever and over half of the U.K. do not attend any kind of religious gatherings. I myself am atheist and have never had any issues or prejudice.

    5. I personally do not agree with this law. Internet safety is not the responsibility of the Internet or providers. It's Dow. To parents, whom shouldn't be left unsupervised online anyway.
Also please bare in mind that the US govt isn't exactly up front about its activities online. Not only do they like to monitor their own people, but every other country too, something that has soured the USA's relationship with Europe over the last few years.

Common_Courtesy reacted to Bouzoo in Player tricks 3,500+ hackers into getting banned in CS:GO
Almost everyone that plays multiplayer games has encounter a hacker, and no game is notorious for that as CS:GO. Hacking even goes up to Pro League about which we've all seen quite a lot in the last few months. Luckily one player decided it's time to take the matter in his own hands, so he created hacks of his own. What those hacks did is ensured that people using them got VAC banned, among few other things that are not the point of this post. He is not the first one to do that, he admits he was insipred by another player that did the same thing, but this one had a much bigger impact.

It would be best to read what he wrote:

This guy is just great. He is, period. I'll admit, I don't play CS:GO, never did, but can't say I didn't encounter few hackers in older CoD games so this brings a form of satisfaction to me. Especially when hackers are angry at this guy for tricking them. You can see their posts here.
