  1. I have a larger network on my hands which is set up as follows: The modem connects to the internet on one side and on the other to the main switch which goes on to connect to the router as well as more switches and some clients and a server. Now everything is fast and reliable and works except for one thing: The router will sometimes let me connect to the network at amazing speeds and sometimes it will conenct but give me no internet at all. The router is a FritzBox, however, the same problem presists with a backup TP-Link router I have lying arround. Any help or Ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Would you mean changing my "guest routers" IP from 192.168.1.X, which is what most of the stuff is on, to say 192.168.2.X and then changing the default gateway of my guest router to 192.168.1.1 (which is what my main modem is on) ?
  3. I have a large network which connects to the internet via a dedicated modem. This modem is hooked up to a big switch to which my router as well as other computers are conencted. Now I want to set up a guest access over a different router so that people who visit can connect to the internet and not see anything thats on my network. Mind you that I can´t change the network infrastructure and the guest access on the currently installed router won´t work (It wouldn´t work because in order for the guest access to work the router would have to be acting as a modem). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Hey I need a little bit of help, I wanted to clone a hdd to an ssd as the hard drive was slow and old. So I take the boot drive and the new ssd, connect both to my pc internaly and my pc slows down to the point of being unuseable. Taking out the boot drive I want to clone fixed this. Then I first turned my pc on and later connected the boot drive via an external hard drive usb enclosure. My PC didn´t realy recognise it as much so I put the drive in the laptop willing to cope with the extreme slowness as long as I could just clone the dam drive. But now the PC with the drive I want to clone is having some trouble and won´t boot into windows 7. It ether crashes if i boot normaly and the start help thing has been running for a while now any help would be greatly apreciated!
  5. Rocking an HD 6950 upgraded to that about half a year ago from an HD 5670, got that paired with a Phenom II hehehe old school AMD. And well I don´t NEED more graphics power buuuut its always nice isn´t it? :3
  6. This is just plane awesomeness. As somebody who is excited by new and inovative stuff this is great! Sure the technology is nothing special but I believe that there is no portable and capable projector out there that matches this one yet. Looks good and if it performs as well as it looks like it performs it sure is a solid piece of technology. However it is too expensive for my student ass right now. I do understand that this product is not aimed at people like me because while I really really really want one I am going to use it for gaming, movies, taking it to lans and playing smash, stuff like that. I feel like this is a professional tool given the price and presentation. Getting a competent gaming monitor can be done with just a tenth of that price. Same goes for a nice TV however there you might want to spend no more than half what this costs to get something awesome. I could get an entire PC set up plus peripherals that fuels my work and gaming needs with absolutely nothing to complain about. Needless to say that i still freaking want one cause its awesome But to think about the possibilities is still fun, pair this with a Wii and you have a smash station pretty much wherever you go. Got a crowded room? No problem you can basically put this thing against the wall and still get a big picture. Use it as a primary monitor at night! Play Lego Star Wars with your Girlfriend on a 80 inchscreen Bring this to parties and fill an entire wall with lighting effects And most importanly! Use it daily to watch Linus Tech Tips and NCIX ON A SUPER BIG SCREEEEENNN ...also at 1080p this resolution is super solid for a projector. I don't need this, I freaking want it hehehe
  7. I can´t believe more people play this genius game! I´m an engineering student and dam son best part for me is working out all the physics and designing the craft, anybody want to fly my missions for me?
  8. In my opinion everybody should have an ssd not only because it greatly increases the snapiness and speedzz of ya system but also because it is a step in the right direction. Let me elaborate: Technology (especially in the Computer and information technology sector) is advancing quite quickly and if we want it to keep doing that we should always strive (being PC people using and producing these products) for more speedzz, better performance, better price to performance! Better reliability!! SPEEDZZ AGAIN!!! So getting ssd´s only seems logical in that sense. Evolution my friends, just the next step. Yes maybe they are expensive today and all but hey in my opinion they bring a hell of a lot more advantages than disadvantages over mechanical hard drives. Everybody get an ssd woop woop. Lets keep moving forward! Also having many people buy them will of course bring more and better ones to the market This is likely to happen because of factors such as competition as well as supply and demand make it atractive to research and better the standing of storage technoligies. This in turn is very likely to make fast storage solutions cheaper! No matter if we are talking ssd or any other storage technology perhaps one that has not been invented yet. (return of floppy disks maybe?... blue ray floppies?) Have a great day folks.
  9. Of course! I have an alienware and a razer sticker on a Toshiba portege I got when my dad upgraded and dam i must say each sticker gives it a 10% performance increase. Hell yeah
  10. Sounds good, which one would you recommend? I saw you suggested a 53 dolar one but would bringing up the budget be worth it? I´m flexible
  11. Hey lovely people of earth, I have aquired a beautiful headset (Sennheiser Game Zero, can only recomend it) and in a previous post people generaly stated I don´t need a sound card. But! I tried the beast on my computer (no sound card) and a friends pc who has quite a basic sound card (a CLS I was told). And man it was heaven! So here I am looking to buy a sound card and was wondering what sound cards would be the best in a roughly 50 buck budget (but flexible! if price to performance is worth the extra investment). (mainly looking for auido quality) I´m thankful for any and all suggestions!
  12. I think i saw CIv 5 on sale with all expansions some time ago for 9.99 euros but don´t quote me on that (might have been 19.99) but hey! Civ 5? With ALL THE EXPANSIONS?
  13. Hey beautiful people, My old but loyal G35 broke for no reason so i needed a new headset and got myself a pretty sweet deal on a Sennheiser G4me Zero (not bought them yet though). Now! I´ve read a bit about them and I am concidering getting an amp for them. I don´t have a tone of experience with those things (don´t just want to buy something random of amazone) so I´d like to ask if any of you have any recomendations for a decent amp for a good price that includes a mic pass through. And while i´m at it would it be worth it to get a sound card? I´m currently have an on board sound card on a slighty older AM3 motherboard from gygabite.
  14. I'd actualy buy this if i could afford it And I think I'm slowly due for a system upgrade anyways :3
  15. Tried to charge my gameboy with a paper clip, the thing survived but i got a nice shock
