  1. I just need something that isn't provided by my ISP haha I've been using the ISP provided router for too long and I need something a lot better, but isn't over kill (like quad band routers)
  2. Yeah I just want to know what i can get for that price, and if its a modem and a router AIO then that would be great.

  4. Yes! I knew Fallout 4 was more CPU intensive, I'm hopefully gonna save up and dump my CPU+Mobo and get something like an i5 4460, or something overclockable. But the 380 is good, correct?
  5. Okay so I've had this issue ever since i got the game on release. I have a fairly good Gaming PC that can run most games on high, no issues, with a stable 60-50fps. (ex. Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Black Ops 3, CSGO, Tf2, Witcher 3) Although Fallout 4 has some trouble floating around the 30-40 region on ANY graphical preset. I don't know why, I know that my CPU isn't bottlenecking my GPU because I checked the CPU and GPU usage while playing FO4 and they are both on max load. (though for some reason they run surprisingly cool at around 30-40c) Maybe its because my system is an AMD build? I honestly don't know. If you guys have any suggestions, or you had this exact problem, please let me know. (and yes I've tried FPS configs, they run exactly the same) My Specs: CPU: AMD FX-6300 Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 380 PSU: Corsair CX750M HDD: WD Caviar black 650Gb RAM: Crucial DDR3 8gb (2x4) (idk the exact name of the ram)
  6. Will a heatsink that is compatible for AM3 cpus compatible for AM3+'s too?
  7. Anyone have any suggestions? I also realize that good AIO liquid coolers aren't in that price range, but if you know one let me know, because I would totally use an AIO. Air coolers are recommended though.
  8. is there a real big difference between the 380 and the 390?
  9. Subject change, what is a good mobo for around 70$ US?
  10. Well on most really casual and easy to run games run on over 500fps on all high at 1080p but games like Skyrim, Fallout 4, or Far Cry 3 for example I can barely run medium/high on 40fps
  11. So can someone answer my question? Is my current CPU bottlenecking my system or is the r9 380 just not that powerful?
  12. Yeah the thing is is i already have an AMD board, would it be worth it to switch to intel? I mean I don't exactly have the money. My budget is around 150
  13. Hey, so I need help on a CPU upgrade. Basically the reason why I want to upgrade my CPU is because I'm assuming that its bottle-necking my GPU, making it run slower than its full potential. But I'm not really sure though, I want to make absolute sure that this is actually gonna improve my gaming performance and PC performance. Can someone help me? CPU I'm potentially buying: AMD FX-8350 My current CPU: AMD FX-6300 Other specs: RAM: 8GB DDR3 (2x4) Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Power Supply: Corsair CX750M GPU: Sapphire R9 380 Hard Drive: WD Caviar Black 600gb I was also planning on buying a nice heat sink with the upgrade as well. Can someone potentially help? Thanks
  14. Yeah I don't miss that old dual core. But judging by this forum I think I'm gonna save up or find a deal and get an SSD c:
  15. Yeah I realize that the FX-6300 is garbage, but I didn't really have the money at the time to do anything crazy, I'm planning on upgrading tho. But anything was better than my Intel Core-Duo with 2.1GHz
  16. Would an SSD benefit from anything else than just being a boot drive? Because I don't really have the money to buy anything over 120gbs
  17. Hey, So I just fully built a new PC recently, (I will list the specs in a minute), And all the parts are working great together, I did a load of research on each and every one of the parts, and they are indeed compatible with eachother. My problem comes in when I'm trying to do basic functions on the computer. Keep in mind that this PC was built for Gaming and Music Production, and it works well for both of those. Anyways, I'm posting on here because my computer is just acting slower than it normally should, my friend had a problem like this with his beast of a machine, it turns out it was just Windows 10. On my end, I still have windows 8.1 :c So if anyone knows why this is please tell me because I would like to be getting the full potential of my PC because I don't want to have to upgrade for a while. My Specs: AMD FX-6300 (with stock cooler) Asus M5A97 R2.0 Crucial Ballistix 2x4gb (8gb) Sapphire Radeon R9 380 4GB Corsair CX750M WD Caviar Black 650gb It may seem stupid, but when I first got the PC I overclocked my GPU and CPU not that far, just to see how stable it would run. Heres the overclocking statistics: CPU: 3.6GHz Overclocked to 3.9GHz, ran stability test with OCCT and AMD OverDrive and both say its fully stable. Idle: 30c Load: 55-60c (I know thats a little high but I'm saving up for an aio cooler) GPU: Core Clock: 985MHz overclocked to 1000MHz (stable running most games, rarely crashes) I don't know if those overclocking statistics are useful to helping me but any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks c:
  18. Would this be good? http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Stallion-RD600-M-CrossFire-Modular/dp/B00M0WKGZA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1441327072&sr=8-5&keywords=600+watt+modular+power+supply&pebp=1441327122998&perid=12ND4V6FZFDXWEE2VX7S I'm looking for ones under 70$
  19. So I got my R9 380 in the mail, and I'm trying to find a new PSU to be compatible with this GPU. On the box it says it needs a minimum of 850 watts for the graphics card, does that necessarily mean you need to get one? Like, is that requirement actually accurate, or are they just throwing numbers out there? I've tried a Power Calculator but I just want to make triple sure I'm not wasting my money c: Thanks
  20. Hey everyone, So I basically was given a pack of 2x4gb (8gb) sticks of ram for my birthday a couple days ago, but found out that motherboard is so ancient that it won't support ddr3 memory :\ I was pretty sad when I found this out but I kinda figured I needed to upgrade my lga 775 socket motherboard. So tell me, whats the best bang for the buck for a motherboard and CPU for under 200$? I'm going to be doing quite a bit of gaming, and music production with this machine. I don't care if its an amd or intel tbh, whatever I can get for under 200$ and I don't have the time to find out whats the best bang for the buck. I'm not totally clueless on computers though. Thanks!
  21. Ok so assuming from these posts, To clarify things up, I'm referring to USD. So a 960 or a radeon card is what you guys are telling me? Would a radeon card be the better choice?
  22. Hello everyone! I was wondering, what is a good gtx 900 series card that is cheap, but favors gaming performance? I'm looking for the 200 range, to MAYBE 250, but I'm kind of tight. Also, I'm upgrading from my previous graphics card, My PSU is 650w, is that enough for a 900 series card? Please reply back c:
  23. Okay, everyone I figured out what was wrong. I don't know which worked but I switched out the motherboard, and ram and it works fine now, Thanks for all your help
