unscrew the circled screws, when you have done that, remove the black piece of metal that sits above the pci-e covers. (see spoiler)

You need a graphics card, Ryzen has no onboard graphics.
Not essential but an SSD in there would be good for boot times. Also that 500gb hard drive will fill quite quickly with unedited clips/edited clips

Do you have your pump running a full speed or did you fill your loop with lemonade?

You need to unplug your PSU from the board, short it and let your pump run until all those bubbles disappear from your res.

I'd suggest you get another app (coretemp or hwmonitor) and verify what's being reported is correct.

just check the QVL for the motherboard, and find ones that passed 3200mhz. or buy Ryzen-certified G. skill memory (you will pay a premium)

A second hand 980ti is a greater pick than a 1070, they are going for cheaper and once you overclock both the 980ti always pulls ahead.

I don't care about noise or power consumption (nas is in another room). I also managed to REBUILD the array with the same drives. only 127 corrupted files out of 40000. now i'm copying everything to my own pc as a backup. but i think i'm going to buy the ironwolf drives then. EDIT: the array has rebuild itself and now al files are back (even the corrupted files )

    480 4GB > 1060 3GB
480 8GB = 1060 6GB and keeps improving because AMD cards are like a fine wine - improving with age.

G Sync panels are expensive because of Nvidia being Nvidia and requiring extra hardware for it.
FreeSync is cheaper because it only requires software and small hardware tweaks.

Get a 480 8GB, it'll kick ass alongside a 4590. And you can use FreeSync.

i see more problems here than just that cable..

that aside, you could buy an extension, or -if your case has the propper venting on the underside- you could put the power supply in fan side down, and route the cable behind your expansion slots to win just a slight bit of length.

EDIT: i just noticed that adapter on the pcie power plug, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, get a better power supply...
